The undercard has some really fuckin good bands if you don’t like literally just classic punk style bands & nothing else lol. Check out Soul Glo if you don’t know them already they’re an insanely fun band. Ceremony is also amazing & are like a beloved cult band, same goes for Power trip who are a Crossover Thrash band if you don’t already know them, they’re reuniting after their singer Riley Overdosed on fen+anyl a couple years ago. And I know people really love The jesus lizard as well although I haven’t listened to them much.

Regarding the band tiers, I didn’t notice or care originally, but once I started designing flyers for shows, I found out people get up in arms over the smallest detail. Extremely local bands will complain that their logo isn’t big enough, needs to be shifted, etc. Can’t imagine things on a larger scale

i live 20 mins from this festival and I am a huge Turnstile Fan right now. Never seen 99% of these bands live so i am so hyped to experience this line up. I was sold on Turnstile alone but defiantly ready to see all these legendary punk bands.

I went to last years when we where young in Vegas same crazy line up 3 stages and u have to pick and choose who u want to see and who ur ok missing out on the misfits and social D will def play back to back but at wwwy they had a spit stage and a smaller stage on the other side of the venue

Turnstile is up there because they were nominated for 3 Grammys last year and get like 2.5 x the Spotify streams The Damned do. That's exactly the kind of thing people who book large festivals care about (I worked in live touring for a decade). I'd bet every red shiny penny I have this festival's website mentions either the grammys (even though they lost in all three categories), the 1.3 milly monthly streams or both.

People are whining about the $200 tickets but look at the sheer amount of great bands. It's like $5 a band. I just wish this had been possible 12-15 years ago. I hate to say it but some of these bands are long past their prime and their live game just isn't there anymore (Harley Flanagan's CroMags, TSOL, Black Flag.....) But Iggy is still strong and Danzig is actually singing better than he ever did before.

Only nitpick is that Black Flag and Vandals have better reunion bands out there (FLAG and Anarchy Taco), but are legally unable to use the original names. Can’t expect the organizers to know that, but that would have further improved the lineup

Idk, The first It's Not Dead Festival was just as good of a lineup and was like 70 bucks. Also only had a couple stages so there wasn't a whole lot of choosing. The main stage there was a rotating stage and the audio sucked and then the stage broke before Pennywise played. Idk, the price doesn't work for the genre. Brew HaHa has been knocking it out of the park with socal punk festivals at better prices and the ability to catch all the bands on the bill.

Not to be rude but the reason you don’t know about turnstile is because they’re a band who’s fanbase is mostly under the age of 30😂& they draw crowds 10 times larger than any of the bands you mentioned who you said deserved to be a headliner up top more than them. & also power trip & Dillinger escape plan have enormous die hard, dedicated fanbases, especially power trip as of late since their vocalist Riley recently passed away from a fen+anyl overdose, so they’re also gonna be drawing immensely more people than anyone on there below them like the dickies or TSOL. if some band you don’t know or care about is way higher than you think they deserve it’s because they’re a huge deal to the younger generation & also have way larger fanbases than the Lower down bands even if those bands are obviously way more influential & legendary. And yea not gonna lie No one under the age of 30 are even gonna even know who the Damned are that’s definitely gonna be a geriatric crowd standing still while all the younger generation are losing their $hit to a band like power trip or turnstile lol. It’d be nothing but people in their 50s or older there if they catered it to just people who have your taste.

None of these bands are quite themselves. They're all glorified cover bands with only one original member. That's not really black flag. It's not really the adolescents. it's not really crass. It's not really the vandals. It's not really agent orange. None of these are the bands we grew up with. None of these bands are the groups on the records. MAYBE the misfits, but thats being generous

But in all honesty some bands have many different but valid eras, like the Damned, for instance, that it doesn't really matter, the original Damned only lasted a couple of years. They have three original members, technically.

I agree but Iggy has been solo since the early 70s and The Adicts are all original and have consistently played without breaking up same with The Dickies consistently have been playing a spitting out records sans a couple of members but the core, Phillips and Lee are still there. That being said I have zero interest in this show, If seen most in their prime anyway.
