If you're curious about the band you could check out the movie "The dirt" which is a dramatization of the bands history and all the crazy stuff they did. I think it's on Netflix. Their manager managed several bands through the years, and apparently Mötley Crue was the ones who caused most trouble, and caused him most grief. They lived the rock star life to the fullest, which was pretty extreme sometimes.
@victorramsey55753 жыл бұрын
Nikki Sixx, the bass player and founder of the band, overdosed on heroin and died .... twice! He was brought back to life by paramedics. The song is about getting high on life, not the needle. Watch a video called The Rise And Rise Of Motley Crue. Its only about 45 minutes long, originally aired on VH1. Its the story of the band told by their friends and family members. VERY AWESOME! The guitarist Mick Mars was actually quite a bit older than the others but no one knew that at the time because of all the makeup. One of Micks former band mates talks about when he first met Mick Mars. "He was poor, his amp was blown up, his guitar had a broke neck and he had one set of clothes. The guy I met living in the gutter would become the most famous person I knew."

Check out the song wild side you'll like the drummer nobody in the music industry has done drumming on this level and he is always up for a different way to keep the audience's attention. So he has put his drums at a 45 degree angle before as you seen in this video. He has swung in a wiring harness and had his drums up above the crowd and played his solo by swinging back and forth like a trapeze artist. He has no fear it's an adrenaline rush for him.

That crazy guitar sound is called a talk box, and has been around for a very long time (since the 1960's, as far as I know). The sound from the guitar goes up a plastic tube that is positioned next to a microphone. The guitar player has the tube in the side of his mouth, and opens and closes his mouth to shape the sound coming out of the tube, so it sounds like words. Examples of this are "Rocky Mountain Way" by Joe Walsh, "Do You Feel Like We Do" by Peter Frampton, "Living On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi, and "Hair Of The Dog" by Nazareth, but many rock bands have used it, over the years...
@wiccan753 жыл бұрын
The guitar player, Mick Mars, has a small speaker that looks like a mic in his mouth. The mic next to it picks up the sound from the guitar inside his mouth and allows him to make the guitar sound different. I think that is how it works.

Girls, Girls, Girls - Motley Crue 🤟🏼
@bobscratchit96653 жыл бұрын
The guitar was using a talkbox is why it sounded like that. It is basically a speaker sealed in a little box on the floor with a tube coming out that goes in your mouth. The sound goes through the tube and between your teeth so you can change the guitars sound by moving your mouth like you're talking.

Mick mars is using a talk box eith his lead guitar. You blow into it with vocals and play the samr tones and it mixes the two together with Synthesized sound. Frampton used it alot.
@chrisjovingo22053 жыл бұрын
Not exactly how it works. There is no synth used. The sound of the guitar comes out of the tube into the mouth. Your mouth essentially becomes the speaker. The tube is taped next to the mic to pic up the sound coming out of your mouth. You also have to play the correct notes for it to sound good. Like at the end when he says Kickstart My Heart, it would sound horrible if you played random notes.

In May 1987, Mötley Crüe released their fourth studio album, Girls, Girls, Girls. It was the band's third album in a row to go quadruple platinum and the second-highest charter on the Billboard 200 that year, after Whitney Houston's self-titled album, Whitney. But just seven months later, on December 23, 1987, Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx overdosed on heroin. After reportedly being clinically dead for two minutes, he woke up in an ambulance with two syringes sticking out of his chest, where paramedics had injected him with adrenaline. and that is were this song came from
