I picked this up a week ago and love it! I had been using the Lift & Luminate foundation but my shade, Cool Beige, appears to be discontinued so I was thrilled to find that shade in this new formula. I also give it an A!

@@aliciapaul132 Hello 👋 I have pretty dry, rosacea-prone skin and also use Tretinoin. I use a lot of skincare twice a day, though, and it hasn't clung to any dry spots! For primers, I either use elf power grip, NYX plump right back, or Tula filter primer. I love them all, but the NYX is a little too dewy unless it's the middle of winter here in the swamp (Houston). 😆 The elf is great for wearing a mask 8 hours, and the Tula is moisturizing and good for large pores and smoothing wrinkles a bit. I think primers can often help foundations if you find the right one for you! Good luck!

I LOVE the No 7 foundations. At 61, I have heavy texture and sun spots, and this gives me good coverage without caking or settling into my not-so-fine lines. Unfortunately, I have to order online now as my local Target has stopped carrying No 7 makeup products. Love your channel, Shelly! You are a breath of fresh air.

I had been using NO 7 lift and luminate for quite a few years now and loved it. But it was getting hard to find maybe past year, the shade that I preferred, that is. Some you tubers were raving about L’Oréal’s infallible pro glow… cuz I’m all about drug store prices for foundation! It didn’t work for my 60 year old skin compared to the No 7. Short story long 🤷‍♀️.. I just bought the restore and renew 5 days ago!! I love it!! I was skeptical at first cuz it is light to medium coverage but it works! And I’m old school in that applying with my hands like a moisturizer, works better for my skin and I’ve tried brushes and blenders, btw. I’m sooo glad that you reviewed this and had wonderful results as well!!! I too use this as a concealer and on my eyelids and my eye makeup and eye pencil liner stays put! I’m talking at least for 10 hrs… I’m a bartender at a very busy restaurant and it lasts! Even my eyeliner/ pencil doesn’t shift if you will, into my outer corners. I’m loving this so far

I bought this and it had the opposite effect on my skin. 😪 I am 47 as well, but i have a lot more fine lines than you that it settled in. I will try it again with a different primer and see how it works. Thank you for all the foundations you try for us!!

I have the no 7 pigment drops in the shade porcelain and it’s a decent match. You and I wear pretty much wear the same shades in most foundations. I just don’t get as tan in the summer. Maybe try that if you haven’t yet

I’ve been using No7 serum foundation about a year and keep coming back to it. I think I’m going to start using only a color corrector under the foundation and skip the concealer. My 75 year old skin needs less layers, not more. I will be trying this new formula The red lip looks good on you!

Hi Shelley this one looks good on you. No 7 does not have a shade that's anywhere near a match for me unfortunately, so I never buy their foundations/concealers. On a shopping trip in Edinburgh last week I finally found an exact shade match. At 50 and having worn makeup since I was a teen - that's the first time ever and I'm so excited about it lol. The newly reformulated Dior forever glow in shade 00N (a new shade). The matching concealer in shade 00N is also a perfect match and that's unheard of. My previous closest match was lancome teint idole in 008/091, but the Dior is an exact match and I don't think I can convey how unusual that is. Brands like Fenty, Huda and Nars who all have extensive shades - nope none of them have an exact match for me. In fact 99% of brands don't make a shade anywhere close to my skintone tbh - it's been a challenge for a very long time. The foundation itself is a pretty foundation, but on my very dry skin needs a silicone or really hydrating primer to look it's best. It is however really long wear and covers my rosacea all day, doesn't irritate my skin and survives mask wearing (Scotland still has masks everywhere). I got a couple of samples, but it's an immediate buy on payday lol. You might want to try the reformulation of the skin glow or the matte formulation yourself - apparently it is different to the previous incarnation. Best wishes.

Doesn't No 7 have a lighter shade called Calico? I remember that being really popular for fairer skin tones. Although the Cool Vanilla looks pretty good on you Shelly. I think their foundations are some of the most comfortable to wear.

I use the No.7 products they are my favorite ones, but I have never used the serum foundation. In fact, I have never used foundation creams and now at 49 (with dry skin), I have considered starting to use them. Thanks to your video I'm going to give it a try.

You have encouraged me to also go back to wearing just foundation under my eyes (the clarins helps too lol) but idk why I quit doing that I just recently started thinking I needed to wear concealer. I also feel like I don’t rub n pounce on my under eyes as bad when I don’t wear concealer!!! Foundations way easier to blend! I usually have good luck with No7 foundations and their light cool tone shades are excellent for me. I'm on a No Buy for foundation until I've finished two of my current bottles, but it looks like I'll be giving this No7 foundation a try in a couple of months.

Looks great on you Shelly. It's true that Boots No7 have stayed consistent with the naming of their shades. However, the shades out of the bottle do not always correspond with what is expected. As a long time wearer of No7 Stay Perfect in warm ivory, I can state that warm ivory in this one is way off and now I can't be bothered with No7 foundations which is a bummer as I usually like the formula. Good Luck to anyone with my shade finding a good match. Btw, on the Boots website it states that it has SPF 30?

I absolutely LOVE THIS Foundation. I was really anxious watching your video in the hopes that you would have the same results as me. She shoots, She scores!!!! I have been using it for about a week and was amazed at the longevity. I've been religiously using Tretinoin for two months now. If anyone is aware of the changes it makes to the skin then you know it can cause massive amounts of skin redness and flakiness at any given time. This foundation covers and moisturizes while lasting all day. With every other foundation I've tried while using Tretinoin the main issue was redness break through no later than 5 hours after application. Not with this stuff. It's amazing. I like you Shelley (I hope I spelled your name correctly) purchased my summer color. I decided to go out yesterday and invest in a color that was a little lighter until I'm fully self tanned then I'll return to it for winter. I've tried every other No7 foundation and none of them or really any other stacks up to this one. Sorry this is so lengthy, but I'm so excited about this. Can't you tell? Thanks! I do trust your judgement, Shelly. The foundations you rate highly look beautiful on you. However, the light coverage ones don't work as well on me who has ( light ) wrinkles, brown age spots. For instance, the Chanel no.1 does nothing for me, it does not even my skin tone, which is what all foundations should do. The only foundations which look decent on me is the Dior Natural Nude, Chanel les Beiges and Chanel Ultra le Teint. The latter however needs a good moisturiser if you have dry skin, but looks great if your skin is well prepped. You are lucky your skin is great!

Maybe the Lift and Luminate No7 would work for you. It’s a medium coverage and I used it for a few years and loved it. And I’m 60 and have similar skin concerns, however my preferred shade was disconnected in that line, tho they have many shades ❤️, but I found my shade in the restore and renew and love it. Lift and Luminate collection perhaps could work for you.

Less and less often these days. On foundation review days I do unless it's a light coverage foundation or bb/cc cream sort of thing. (If I do wear one I say it right before I start the application demo and link it in the description - otherwise, I didn't wear one).
