The 200 requires you to have the pedal to the floor for 20 seconds. That's the type of thing that age makes really hard. The 100 is short enough that older athletes don't really suffer as much and the 400 requires more strategy as you don't really have your foot all the way to the floor. I remember Michael Johnson winning the 400 at the Olympics in 2000 at about 33 years of age. He had given up running the 200 by then...

I think Lyles not running for the rest of the year might be best. He transferred negative energy before the race even started. IMO, when he slapped that lane prop, he lost his connection to the ground and short-circuited. Noah Lyles needs plenty of time off to rewire!
