@@Artyomthewalrus not true, if you know anything about the SII lore, it's that spartan II's are very well communicated being together since the age of six and having communication capabilities of in human levels, spartans don't need battle plans they can understand and move efficiently and incredibly coordinated without even opening their mouths. People forget that spartan teams pair them with who they work best with on the field.

Hell, books point towards Clones having comparable reactions to droids in the star wars universe, and said droids have lightspeed processing abilities. @@2402Stevo then you would be mistaken, spartans may not have the weaponry that they do but when it comes down to an over all Victor Noble team is just too diverse for the Cammandos to handle. Cammandos are good at what they do, I'm not doubting that, but Spartans are at super human level. Their movements are blurs, they have the strength to flip and battle tank like its nothing, reaction time that is able to grant them what we call "spartan time" practically allowing them to dodge and weave bullets which are much faster them blaster fire, the Cammandos would have a hard time hitting them. If the spartans start hand to hand the Cammandos would be fucked. To fair any noble alone probably would do some damage but I doubt would win alone, but as a team they are far superior, let alone if you pit a spartan II against the Cammandos, those unlucky Cammandos to get in that situation would be minced.

Commandos are a batch of top tier genetic template of a man who can beat to death JEDI's who literally augment their speeds to hypersonic blurs with their force powers, so I have no idea where you're getting that spartans would speed blitz them. They also contest with droids who have lightspeed reactions/processing. Also commandos are trained by Jango and mandalorians, who I repeat, beat space wizards, who can rend durasteel and other ultra hard metals with their force augmented bodies and crush tanks with their minds, with his own hands. So how are noble team gonna out-contest that in the cqc? I've read Halo books too, I'm familiar with their lores and feats, but scaled to what clones deal with in their own universe and how bullshit some of the enemies in SW, its not a sweep like how you're portraying.

Actually the Spartan 3's didn't run as fast as the Spartan 2's, the average run speed of an S3 was about 18-20mph Husain Bolt could outrun a Spartan 3 over a short distance (because after Husain gets tired a few seconds into the sprint, he'll get bodied by the Spartan) That said, Seeing a half ton metal man running at you with the murderous intent that Emile would have then him getting to you... Now imagine George (Spartan 2's could generally run much faster than the 3's could) if big ol' George came at you at about highway speeds... it'd literally be like getting hit by a car. Sure the Troopers armor could survive the impact (probably not though), but the guy inside sure wouldn't.

Megadwarf 47 depends on the weapon. If it's the DMR, 6 shots in about 4 seconds(going off memory here). If it's the Assault Rifle, 16 in close to 4 seconds. The rest is debatable. I know the pistol can be emptied relatively quick... But I digress.

you're forgetting the technological differences, my friend The basic clone trooper armor is designed to be resilient against kinetic projectiles. Delta squad commandos aren't basic clone troopers, they also have shields. Basic clone weaponry is an explosive plasma projectile with a low tier EMP-like damage integrated into the rounds due to their role in fighting droid armies. Delta squad has advanced, modular variants of clone trooper weaponry Still, Noble team would give delta squad a run for their money and might even manage to come out on top depending on the situation. from what I know about halo and star wars, this is a very close fight.

Clone commandos did recive some minor genetic modifications such as making them physically stronger and smarter but these modification were not as extensive as a spartans. however there was one batch of clones that did get an extream genetic modifications and that was the null arc troopers these 8 clones where hyper intelligent and could recall anything from memory this also made them extremely paranoid

One of the cruelly ironic things about this comment is the fact that the both the second and third generation Spartans started their military careers as literal child soldiers, all deployed in their early to mid-teens on their first combat operations. Most of them would never survive to adulthood. Honestly, I think the Spartans wouldn't mind sitting down and having a drink with the clones sometime instead. They've got a fair bit of common ground and a strong argument could be made that the clones would be perfectly good as Spartans if they were given the same augmentations, save for the problem posed by their accelerated aging. Patrick Takada Good comparison... Both get hotdropped into the battle in specialized pods for one mission then get covertly inserted into the next. Main difference (beside the weapos) is that the commandos have Bacta processing implants while ODSTs have biofoam. Not sure why that's important, just wanted to mention it.

The Imperial were Palpatine's most loyal servants, as well as some of the best trained soldiers at the time. The real threat were the Shadow Guard and Imperial Sovereign Protector subdivisions, as they had rudimentary force abilities and were even more skilled than the regular guards.

Robert Nelson Elites would be less skilled in techniques but they'd just rush the guards down and overpower them, let's not forget elites are at least 2.5 meters tall and almost purely muscle.

The Honor Guards were the best of the best the Elites had to offer, that's why they were the ones to guard the High Prophets. They do have the physical advantage but the subdivisions I mentioned have low-level force capabilities, which can help even the playing field.

It would be very difficult for the Elites considering if the emperor's guard has let's say two Shadow Guards, then they'd have to deal with abilities like force lightening and force choke. Muscle and size won't help that much if you're floating in the air or burnt to a crisp. Then again, the Elites are still quite skilled and could be able to find a way to defeat the Shadow guards.

@Ivan HERNANDEZ I agree with a lot of what you say. Not only do they have vibroblades, but shock gauntlets and repulser blasters are not uncommon for Clone Commandos to have. In terms of training, both are trained from birth, or from close to birth, but Clone Commandos should technically have an advantage there as well, considering Clone Commando training is based on Mandalorian training, which is some of the most well-adapted training/tactics from the Star Wars Universe, from years/decades/centuries of battle against different opponents from across the SW Galaxy. It seems that the UNSC Spartans only have training derived from Earth and the other colonies it has, and it also seems that the UNSC hadn't come across different opponents (other than humans in the form of Rebels) until they faced the Covenant/Flood. Actually the only clones who were one on one trained by Jango Fett were the ARCs. The Clone Commandos were actually trained by handpicked mercenaries, mostly Mandalorian, that Jango hired to be their trainers. These were the 'Cuyval Dar' - those who no longer exist. Delta was trained by Walon Vau, a very gruff, occasionally bordering on abusive trainer who pushed his trainees to the limits to ensure that his squads would survive. Anyways, other than that, this was a brilliant video. And I agree that the only guaranteed advantage that the Spartans have would be their augments and the Mjolnir armor. The really telling part would be that Mjolnir armor was not only protective but enhancive for the Spartans. That is it boosted the Spartans already impressive augmented capability. Source for the notes on Mjolnirs capability would be "The Fall of Reach" novel by Eric Nylund.

I really liked this match up, I agree with your assessment of the two sides, and even though I'm a huge halo fan and would say it's closer to 9.5/10, it was still really entertaining. I would love to see a version of a squad match up where their vehicles were involved. It might make the match up more fair in the Clones favorer. Puffin_King Its more 9/10, but the thing I don't like about this scenario is that the Commandos are provided with the first version of Katarn Class when they wore the newest version on Kashyyyk. Bill Gultch The armor they wore on Geonosis, yes, but about a year after, they got a much needed upgrade. The armor Delta wore latest in the War was so tough only sustained repeating blaster fire would penetrate it. A Commando threw himself directly over a grenade with this armor and only had bruises and a few scrapes on the armor. Latest armor Delta had available does make a difference in this battle and brings their chances of winning up to 2/10. Noble team is tough and all, but the 2 ways they are taking down a Commando is if Jun snipes with his AP rounds on his SRS, concentrated AP fire, or hand to hand combat. Delta could win if they ambush. While they don't have the physical match against Noble, Delta is honestly better trained. So I just think that it was unfair to not give Delta their latest version of the armor when Noble team had access to the latest armor of their time. While Noble would win a vast majority of the time, the MKIII Katarn Class Commando Armor does raise their already slim chances.

This Droid often took out entire squads of Clones, and was one of the many that the Clone Commandos faced. I think that this battle comes down to range, and whether or not the Clones can target the Spartans before distance is closed. Spartans have been shown to dodge quite well, and their durability in lore is far stronger than it is in game, but Clone Commando weaponry should be more than capable of punching through the shields and armor of Spartans from what I see. I cannot necessarily say it will be as easy for the Spartans to do the same with standard weaponry that seems far weaker than that of the Clone Commandos. Spartans have also been hit by plasma weaponry, so it's not impossible for a Clone Commando to do the same as these Elites did: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWSQmIeoeLd_h80, especially if the Spartans are getting closer, and having less time to dodge.

A lone spartan 3 with an AI unit could take out delta squad with little trouble due to AI assistance along with insane strength, speed and armor. All they have to do is pick off the clones one by one and they have to sleep sometime.

Spartan IVs receive less extensive physical augmentations than previous Spartan generations, but that is well-compensated for with the ridiculous technological advances packed into MJOLNIR GEN2 armor. An armored Spartan IV can go toe to toe against an armored Spartan II and expect an even chance at winning. Fireteam Osiris would dismantle Delta Squad almost as easily as Noble Team, and Osiris has one less Spartan.

ThatDidact 117 should have wiped the floor with Locke because the Spartan Time and everything to do with S-IIs and S-IIIs applies there. Take Jerome-092 (albeit much younger). In the cutscene Action/Reaction (Halo Wars 2) he takes on multiple Brutes and Elites at the same time bearing in mind that these Brutes are basically Spartans themselves (Atriox’s “upgrades”), and yet he manages to beat them in the most badass way possible. John-117 should have done this even though he was 50 because it’s said (got it from some “sources”) that they don’t slow down until they’re like 60 or something like that. Even with the technological advancements, 117 still would have beaten all four a Osiris at the same time because of S-IIs insane reaction time and general skill in the field. I can cut it down to just poor writing.

Considering game mechanics as real-world capabilities, we can use elites as a standard. I’d say that an elite is basically of the same caliber as Super Battledroids, if not a little better. An SBD is incredibly hard to defeat and is treated in-game as a sort of area boss. Noble team in game, however, does very well again large amounts of elites. No matter how elite the commandos are, they can’t take the Spartans down.

Also Katarn armor, whilst lighter, has a durability advantage thanks to the materials used, an advantage shown by the fact that a Commando can take a laser cannon to the chest plate and still remain combat effective and alive afterwards, as shown both in the books and in the games during the fight with the Dwarf Spider Droids.

I think if the clones knew who they were going against they could use better weapons. They were specialized against weakly armored but numerous enemies so the Spartans were the exact opposite of what delta squad was supposed to be fighting

Dude. Great vid. I have some points though, and Spartans would win 10/10. Shields on Mjolnir armor were developed from Covenant tech. Meant to take energy/plasma blasts (which Clones use). Spartans are trained to combat elite Covenant units of all ranks and species and are highly effective, Clone troopers fight against droids. Clones - albeit having trained together since birth - do not exhibit any more unit cohesiveness than Spartans. Spartans, like modern soldiers, think independantly on the battlefield, but always defer to chain of command for mission directives. Also, Spartans demonstrate countless acts of brotherly love within units. John-117 refused to leave any man behind, and Carter-A259, Jorge-052, and Thom-A293 all sacrifice their own lives to save the others. You can reference the book, "The Fall of Reach" for more examples. Spartans are augmented to go beyond what even the best of human peak physical condition is, including skeletal and neural augmentation. Their reaction time is unparalleled and the addition of their specialized armor increases reaction time exponentially. While the UNSC does issue weapons that use physical ammunition, it must be stated that the munitions are either armor piercing or semi-armor piercing, gas powered rounds, and have been proven to be effective against plasma shielding utilized by the Covenant. Even the more mass produced Spartan IIIs outmatch Delta Squad. I don't think this engagement would even be close.

I would however argue that if they went up against the Null Arcs that it would be a much more fair fight. Null Arcs had extreme genetic modifications. So extreme that they were so hyper intelligent that they were always extremely paranoid. Plus the genetic modifications on physical abilities were also out of the roof, not as good as Spartans by a long shot but still very capable.

Noble team wins in probably 2 minutes tops... Clones are just essentially humans at peak performance. Spartans are augmented to already have 3x the strength of a normal marine. Add on the Mjionir armour and they're 5x stronger than that making them around 15x stronger than a clone trooper... Add on the fact that bullets go MUCH faster than starwars blasters. Delta squad's armour has next to no protection against Noble team's rounds. Meanwhile Mjionir armour has energy shields that can take multiple plasma rounds alone. Spartans have been known to have their vital organs completely destroyed and still live to fight until their adrenaline goes down, Emile had an energy sword stabbed through his lungs, spine, and heart and still lived long enough to kill the elite with his knife. Plus Spartans have "spartan time" Meaning in a mexican standoff the spartan would already have his gun out the second the clone already heard "draw" and began reaching for his. Noble 6 alone could eliminate delta squad. He literally belongs in a class called "hyper lethal vector".

The Spartans also have a better variety of weapons. Jorge has his . 50 cal general purpose machine gun; Emile has an 8 gauge shotgun; and Jun has a 14.5mm sniper rifle firing APDSFS shells. Delta team just doesn't have the firepower to compete, even with a grenade launcher.

ok so how shotguns work higher the gauge smaller the gun so starting at 20 gauge 16 gauge then 12 gauge then 10 gauge 8 gauge then the infamous 5 gauge also known as a punt gun. I personally own all these except a 5 gauge. So an 8 gauge is no joke its a very terrifying shotgun.

That one time a SPARTAN III kept fighting and crossed a ravine on a zip line with a blown out rib cage. Broseph was dead, for real dead, and kept fighting on adrenaline until he saluted Halsey and collapsed. So, if the clones were able to actually kill one with anything less than a headshot (RIP Kat) the III's have the possibility to tank death until they stop fighting, or bleed completely out, and basically get kills from the grave. I think that the Deltas could definitely take them a few more times out of ten then 8.5 if they were on the defensive. Delta Squad is exceedingly gifted in tactical operations, and given this, being clever would allow them to shine most. Things like ambushes with IEDs and other things to catch the Spartans of guard. Granted the super human prowess and reaction time of the Noble Team could compensate for this, but this doesn't make them not able to be killed. Overall it would come down to whoever makes the best use of their equipment in my mind. Like Eck said, without their gear in head on combat, the Spartans take it every time. The commandos aren't head on soldiers though, they're infiltrators and excel in tactical efficiency and team work. It all depends on the scenario. The same reason Delta Squad can't charge in on an SBD dispenser in the game is the same logic used here. They'd have to outsmart the Noble Team.

This is a decent match up, but I also notice that you use Noble team at effectively their height(minus Noble Six) vs Delta Squad during their first deployment. Delta Squad specifically among the RC units enjoyed collecting diverse weapons to bring on their missions such as concussion rifles, slugthrowers, etc, and imo comparing Katarn mk1 to mk3 armor is like comparing a wooden plank to a whole tank. Using each team at their height I'd give it closer to a 5/5 split
