In part 13 of the truck bed camping road trip, the rumor is this stream is recovering and only has small fish in it. It's definitely got some quailty fish swimmingin it! Watch part 12 to see day 1 on this stream.

It's definitely not as easy as it was even in 2016. The bigger streams with big fish seem to attract more private purchase/loss of access. Tiny creeks in national forest just aren't going to draw to same attention!

Awesome video as always, Drew, thanks for sharing! I noticed you tie your dropper to the bend of the hopper hook - I recently started doing the same as well. Wondering if you have ever lost flies because the line slips off or if you use a certain knot to prevent that? It hasn’t happened to me yet so not sure if it’s common at all.

Drew... love your series! Just one question, how do you manage to get away for so long? My wife would file missing person and divorce papers at the same time!
@LooknFishy
@LooknFishy Жыл бұрын
Haha...I just answered this question on my Instagram today. I'll save you the hassle of going to a different platform... TRUE STORY...People ask me all the time, how I'm able to take off months at a time to camp/fly fish all over the US.....SEE BELOW. Almost 15 years to the day my wife and I made the decision to chase the experience not the possession. So we sold almost everything we owned and relocated back to Arkansas. My wife was able to transfer with her current employer but the small community we moved to didn't offer many opportunities for me. So we decided to buy the smallest home we could find (built in the 50's) and she gave me a chance to stay home with our kids full time and live off one income. That was in 2007. We don't do anything else. We paid our cars off years ago. Our house was paid off last year. My dad and later step-mom passed before the pandemic and I used the little bit of inheritance I got from the home my 4 siblings sold to upgrade to my Chevy (super irresponsible lol). That's my only debt now. SO as long as I sleep in my truck bed, I'm able to find a way to cover my gas and fishing licenses. Definitely not earning a living off KZbin, I don't have a ton of sponsors and I don't sell to the community but I'm super appreciative of those from the community that subscribe and follow the adventure. Without y'all I'm not able to do what I do and will continue as long as I can! So thank you for all the support 🙏!
