I loved how much control of shoulders he had. His upper body doesn't collapse. Magnificent tilt and lean of his torso, like a hockey player. His balance from exquisite footwork. The way he pivots on the front foot is amazing. I actually preferred his serve with the wooden racket because with the smaller head the sweet spot is an inch or two farther away, more leverage lie a 2-iron, not a 5-iron. The disguise doesn't come from his back turn "hiding" his intentions but from the swiftness of the action. His athleticism! Why did people call Mac scrawny? He had massive thighs

Good morning Master Macci. Do you ever sleep? Thanks again for a great explanation of the serve mechanics. I am using them to explain it here in a Public Park in North Palm Beach and my students have really improved. Thanks

I’m not a doctor, but I’m kinda surprised MacEnroe didn’t have left knee issues in his later years due to the unorthodox way he inverts that leg backward. I would think he could develop osteoarthritis in that left knee area. 🤔
