I don’t think you understood the ending… There is no stranger, it’s the psychosis in his mind. She explained it in the end 😅

@@Santiagos. no, green committed suicide as part of his plan. He knew he was going crazy due to psychosis and he wanted to bring everyone else down with him, so he tried to kill everyone with kovalev while dying in the process.

@@TheShadowEdits. Yup. Greens plan went down successfully, and ended on Icarus. From then on, any twists and turns of the case are Karra's psychosis manifesting. Green knew he was going nuts, hated the system and what had become of ichorite, and wanted to burn it all down. Karra's presence in the narrative is just to expose the truth of the whole ordeal, and to save Sara, Taylor, and Salma.

In response to your "She explained it in the end" comment, there's so much reality distortion towards the end that it's not surprising there are different opinions on what happened, whether or not the opinions are objectively wrong in the end. Also, the reveal is also weird and out of nowhere, as a lot of the psychosis throughout the game was associated with trauma and monitored by experts (the psyche tests). The result is that the game kinda seems like its saying weird stuff about people with trauma or mental illness, like they shouldn't bother with life or they might go into bouts of violence. The game also is saying there is an afterlife if you kill yourself, without giving nuance nor explanation. The ending (and maybe the whole story) is just a failure. The commentary on social classes/corruption was decent though

In my first playthrough (live) i get the good ending, i agreed to the Stranger twice and didn't shoot Sara, but i don't know if another choices matters.

I did not really get what went different here, that suddenly Salma / Jame's Psychosys became friendly

He was starting to realize and accept what was going on It's completely based on the choice you make

Green and Kovalev put together a plan to affect radical change on a broken system, because they both knew that they were going psychotic, and wanted to stop the rampant corruption of the rich. Whether that was out of a sense of guilt for what they had done, or because the psychosis drove them to it, is up in the air. Green and Kovalev were successful though, but their involvement in the story ended on Icarus. After that, Karra's own failing mind sends him down a path of paranoia, and only by correctly identifying that Green was behind it, can he shake himself out of the psychosis. If you believe in a murderer until the very end, there is no chance of getting the 'good' ending.

Came here because theRadBrad's choices and ending pissed me off. 😅 I love the guy and have and will be a long time subscriber of his, but his choices and the skipping over important dialogue and icons bit. 😅 I should get the game and figure out how to get the good ending myself, lol.

From my understanding, the Stranger is simply James manefestation of his obession and inability to let go. The times we saw Green shooting up the place was simply because he was going through a psychotic breakdown. Similar to how James is here ar the ending. The only difference is that James was able to finally let go, and thus able to die more peacefully.
