@@silvergoldking I don't know how Brad feels about it but I think it would be cool to personalize it for his son, and then Brad can show him the ingot and tell him you're going to make a knife out of it for him and it will be his when Brad decides he is of age for it.

Along with al the great artifacts, I was impressed that two of the coins came from other countries. It is a reminder that almost all of us originally came from somewhere else, but became one great nation. Keep digging, Brad. You create wonderful videos.

Hi from England. The 1719 coin is called a cartwheel penny. So called because of the thick border. It resembles a cart wheel. 😀

Congrats on your finds especially the silver coin. The metal ornate disc you found would have come off of the door of a wood stove. It would have been attached to a plate with matching holes under it. It would have turned back and forth, opening and closing the holes depending on how much air you wanted the fire to get. (Don't remember what it's called.) Thank you for continuing to share your adventures.

A tip on colonial German and Dutch homesteads. Like a horseshoe over the front door these two groups did another practice to bring good fortune to the home. Away from the house in each cardinal direction they would bury a jar with coins in it to insure good fortune. The Germans, when building their house would also enclose a jar with coins in the wall over the front door. Ever try dowsing a map of the site you want to explore? then again once your on the site...X marks the spot, works for me ^^

What a great coin 15:46. Fantastic hunt. Brad you are one great detectorist and film maker. I am a 64yo New Hampshire Native. Started detecting the beach and woods here were I live in Charleston, SC. Your videos Brad take me back in time before I joined the Navy and my friends and I would adventure and camp around old stone walls and home sites in Hillsboro, NH. as a high school teenager in the back woods wilderness. My friends and I back then loved all the back woods history, Finding old loggers camps, old bottles and schards of glass. One of my friends dads helped us boys build a CHEVPONTIFORD four wheel tractor type four wheeler we pieced together from three wrecked cars, a little wood and nails and some welding of things. And brother let me tell you that Chevpontiford would roar to life and us three guys perched up on top of this homemade gasoline monster with big tractor wheels roar off into the back wilderness of south central New Hampshire camping, shooting guns and fishing and occasionally finding very cool old stuff in the woods. Old abandoned cars, Trucks and boats mostly. All was treasure to us, Your videos Brad take me back to that time of my life. The few short years with your buddy's when your still to young for the world but young enough to open your eyes and laugh, Sneak a couple of cold beers out of your dads truck cooler and blast away in your home built off road machine for a couple of days in the woods. Brad your videos remind me so much about that time if my life. thank you.

Nice video Brad. Congrats!!! Let me add here some information about the Spanish coin just if somebody is interested to know more about it,... The Spanish silver coin is a half real from 1761, minted during the reign of Carlos III. Obverse: Crowned shield of castles and lions with the shield of the Bourbons. Legend: CAR · III · D · G · HISP · ET IND · R Abbreviated from Latin: "D [EI] G [RATIA] HISPAN [IARUM] ET IND [IARUM] REX" which means "by the grace of God, King of Spain and the Indies" Reverse: 2 terrestrial globes representing the new and old world between two columns crowned with the PLVS VLTRA legends and also the legend: VTRAQUE VNUM ºM 1761 M The columns represent the Columns of Hercules (Strait of Gilbraltar), each column was girded with a cloth bearing "PLVS VLTRA" (national motto of Spain that means in Latin "beyond"), on the upper edge of the obverse appeared the legend "VTRAQUE VNUM" which in Latin means "both are one" highlighting the unity between the territories of the Spanish Empire in each hemisphere. Earlier in Spanish coins, the legend “Non Plus Ultra” appeared in reference to the limit of Spanish power until the end of the known world. With the conquest of America, that legend was changed to "Plus Ultra", as a confirmation of the overseas dominance of Spain, which then reached beyond the Strait of Gilbraltar. As you said the place of minting is Mexico because appears the symbol (ºM). In addition to Mexico, this coin was also manufactured in Potosí, Lima, Guatemala, Popayán, and Santiago de Chile. Each mint with its symbol to have manufacturing traceability. Traceability also went so far as to specify who was responsible for the quality of the coin, including purity of metal used (silver in this case), its weight (1.68 gr) and its diameter (16 mm) and also the printing quality of the coin. In this case the M means that he was Manuel de León. This coin was gradually replaced, starting in 1771, by the so-called "bust" coin, as it had the image of the monarch on the obverse. Sorry about the length of the text. Good luck in new searches

I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and am an avid outdoors man. You've mentioned, in a few videos that you're effected by a lot of various types of bugs. In my late teens, my grandfather taught me that if you begin taking a double dose of vitamin B complex and continue taking it while you're out in the woods, bugs won't bother you. We have deer flys, mosquitoes, horse flys and ticks here. My wife don't believe me and always puts a ton of spray on and gets eaten alive. I haven't been bitten in years. I'm in my late fifties now and can't remember the last time anything has bitten me. Like I said. A couple of days before and and the day of. A double dose of B complex. It secretes from your sweat glands and repels the insects.

Icy hot and pomade dragon pain relief cream work so much better than bug sprays. Big sprays overheat me! Be careful to not rub eyes with the muscle rubs. My knees got sore so I used the rubs and guess what, no bugs! Been using it for years now. Digging in the forest is so tough, at least where I live. You amaze me as you keep going back and you find good things! Carry on.
