Bought the gb40 a few months back as a precaution and low and behold our 4R battery crapped out while out and about. No slow crank or anything, just dead. GB40 started it 4x throughout the day till I could get closer to home and get a new battery. Awesome product!

JUST BUY IT!!! Bought a NOCO GB40 a couple years ago. Best tool I've bought in years. Saved a stranger, started my lawn tractor, motorcycle. and charged my phone a few times. I keep in in my vehicle and put a reminder on my phone to check the battery every 3 months.

My mechanic recommended Gooloo & Noco. Yes, it’s truly needed. I got a Cat battery pack at Costco, but it wouldn’t jump the 4Runner. Gooloo doesn’t even blink, at all! (not even the slight hesitation with Noco). Good vid.

Yep. Halfway through a day poking about single track roads all over SW PA around that Frank Loyd Wright house Fallingwater I luckily was parked at a park waterfalls overview when I came back from probably my tenth photo op of the day to a dead battery. No cables, no people. AAA drove 45 miles one way to jump me. I flashed on all the back of beyond places I’d just been: went out Monday after getting a replacement battery (“failed the load test”, it was 4 years old...) and picked up one of those. A bit bigger for greater cold weather cranking power: the GB70 (a 2000). But for exactly the same reasons, I chose a 4 Runner for where it can take me: and those places I don’t want to be stranded! And Li-ion like those hold charge for a year versus the huge and heavy lead acid ones that say they require monthly charging.

My tundra battery is dead right now, been jumping it off for 3 days. Using my noco, don’t even have to wait 10 seconds and it jumps right up. Jumped it off over 6 times on one charge, at 75%. Noco has great customer service and a good warranty. We have 4 or 5 of these. Awesome, my charger for phone when hunting.

These little boxes are great. I got one for each of our cars. Super easy to just hand it off to someone who is asking for a jump instead of moving cars (like you mention) to jump them. One recommendation I have is that Amazon has some cases for these that are much nicer than the bag they come with. It fits under the seat or in my recovery box much nicer.

Time to upgrade to a quality AGM battery. The factory batteries are pretty much junk. I keep cables and a battery booster in pretty much everything that has wheels or goes on water.

The hesitation on starting is because of the ECU has lost its settings after a battery drain. Nothing to do with the NOCO.

@@TRDJon had the same thing happen on my Tacoma after two years of owning it. Put it on the trickle charger and it showed not fully charged so Toyota swapped it out for a brand new one. Great idea I might have to look at one of those jump starters too thx :D

Have you tried holding the “!” button for a few seconds before jumping? There’s another YT video that says you need to press that button in addition to just turning it on.

I got one of these and have had nothing but problems with it. It wont hold a charge and no response from Noco when contacted. It was less than 2 months old when i contacted Noco to let them know there was an issue. Never comment on things on KZbin, but have made the exception for such a poorly made product / terrible customer service. Avoid!!
