Those who don’t understand “Loading” it’s just a way in short version to see result a bit quicker (about a weeks time) if your just buying your first tub of creatine and are just casually lifting and aren’t preparing for any sort of competition or what not just start with the normal one scoop (5g) a day in your water or along with your protein shake (yes protein powder and creatine powder are safe to mix) :) I hope this helped anyone new new cause I just started my supplements as well but again pretty much LOADING will be quicker results (1 weeks) where as starting with normal dosage will take about 2-3 weeks but in the end you reach the same results; one is just quicker than the other

I agree however if you are heavy 30%+ be careful. I started taking 5g a day along with pre workout and got extreme hypertension (182/94) to the point my limbs started going numb. I was also 17 at the time, its not like i was older. This is probably rare but if you are obese keep in mind it can be hard on your heart and lead to kidney issues as well. So always please consult with a doctor even for something simple like this.

This is the science behind taking substances (also applies to any substance you take). If you take something that your body naturally produces already (creatine, caffeine, etc) then your body knows it has the chemicals in the system which makes your body stop producing those naturally. Once your off the substance, then your body is like “wtf I don’t know how to produce this again” and thus you have withdrawal symptoms and other negative effects until your body is able to produce them again. Basically making you dependent on the substance you take. This is same reason why people can’t operate unless they get their cup of coffee.

Noel I think it maybe worth mentioning that you should up your water intake while loading. When I was younger and ignorant I loaded and then got a nasty kidney infection. I think I over did the load but I was also not drinking enough water to match the loading phase. Water is important when loading on creatine. The water into the muscles took it away from the rest of my body and caused dehydration which ultimately caused a mild kidney infection.
@sabrele9308

@@heumpirej You should really look into that. Raw meat has creatine, cooking it reduces the amount significantly and the amount of creatine in even raw meat is very low. To clarify, you'd need to be eating around 800 grams of meat (steak as a benchmark) per day for a 5g dose. This is disregarding the fact that this is raw, when cooked meat loses around 30% of its creatine, meaning you'd be eating over a kilogram of meat per day just to receive a daily maintenance dose.
