Damn! I gonna be honest. It’s not Pixar quality but hey, this is just one guy, 2 months without using any money at all. If you keep that in mind, this is absolutely amazing and very good quality. You made me emotional when Snow was looking at the photo album and when he was looking at the sky. If you manage to do that, it’s a really good animation. I could only imagine what you would do when you had 6 months for this project. Absolutely amazing!

Can't say it's Pixar level, but it's still better than 90% of Pixar's studio rivals. It's insane what one person can do now, at home, with free software and a passion to create. Your storytelling is also extremely on point, which very much IS Pixar level. Curious what will come next as you demonstrably have a great deal of talent and a rapidly growing toolbox of skills.

Some things were still too perfect geometrically but those would be pretty easy to fix. However, what sets Pixar separate from this animation and all the other competitors is the animation quality. The animation in Pixar animations feel really fluent, no matter if the star is a car, toy or a fish.

I don't know what KZbin rabbit hole I went down to get here, but this is blowing my mind - pure magic. As someone who doesn't have hardly any art experience (digital or otherwise) I'm just sitting here with my brain on fire on how amazing this is without even having much context or background knowledge at all. Also, the first part about opening up the text document and then playing games for two days straight endeared this project and the artist to me immediately LOL. I rarely comment on vids, especially when I don't have anything constructive to "add" to the conversation - but, I felt compelled to say a long-winded "WOAH, I don't know how I got here. But this is magical." Also, having lost my furry companion a few months ago, the short made me absolutely sob. Well done

Animation is it's own way. The more time and efforts you put into, the outcome has to come better and better. Different styles and storytelling ideas can create better version of any existing movie. You know what, your animation made me tear up so I think you won this challenge, if it is indeed possible to win. I think the only note I'd include to anyone else attempting this is: theres a reason toy story was about toys besides the story. If you have more limited technology and time, choosing subjects that aren't humans will really help! That being said I think this was excellent, the lighting really brings the models to life. I also think using free assets should be promoted to more artists when learning something like this- if you use an asset someone else made it will help you learn how to make an asset yourself when the time comes.
