About Roy's castle - the reason it is broken is because the level is programmed to loop indefinitely until you choose the right path. This behaviour is hardcoded and cannot be overwritten.

roy's castle is probably hardcoded to always have the path gimmick it has normally. meaning it tries to force that gimmick on to whatever level it shuffles to, causing the level to just break

i recommend just disabling 2-Castle from being shuffled. the paths in that level are extremely hardcoded 37:33 and that isnt a seperate version that is actually just dependent on your red switch state on the file. you could put red blocks in any level and thats still how it would work

The reason you're getting a bunch of toad stuff is because they're all considered different levels, with W1-9 having 6 different variants of red toad houses(from naturally spawning, or toad rescue/multiplayer and double timer digits), making 54 unique red toad house stages. Then there's 9 possible star toad houses for the 9 worlds, then the 1 up houses which have one layout per world, so there's another 9, and then the enemy courses with 14 different stages across W1-8. So you have 54+9+9+14=86 levels featuring Toad. Youre only pulling from a total of 172 main story stages(including all enemy courses, peach's castle, all main levels, all cannon, and all variants of toad houses, as well as credits) plus the 5 coin battle levels. In other words, 48.5% of all levels are toad levels. And you'd have to play the red toad houses of all 9 worlds at least 6 times each to get all the variants.

BTW, the World 2 Castle is so hard-coded with it's path gimmick, it is impossible for it to work with any other level. If you try this challenge again, either use a pre-completed save file or go into the mod's files and physically place 2-Castle in 2-Castle's slot.

It would be amazing if the textures AND levels were randomized, ignoring the soft-locking castle, soft-locking levels like Peaches castle and the credits, and *_Toad_* on the levels, so it would not only be impossible to see anything, but impossible to tell what level you were playing so prior knowledge of the game also wouldn't help
