Hey all, if you want to see more progress in the game skip this episode and wait for the 3rd, I was tired during this one~ If you want to watch me get bodied, then this video has you covered lol
@96Cthulhu967 ай бұрын
To be fair, there is still a lot of progress in this one :D But yeah, Noita just has that quirk where the game requires 120% of your brain power at any given time if feel, so after a few runs I tend to get a little sloppy with the start as well :)

Noita is my favorite lesson in hubris: You got good wands, perks, health and feel like a god? Doesn't matter, you can die all the same. Even having infinite hp and gold, all immunities and instant-kill wands, you are not safe. You might be main character, but you don't get any plot armor And who is to blame? Only yourself. You stood too close to propane. You stood in plasma. You strayed from direct path down. You fired giga black hole. You thought yourself invincible, and didn't dodge in time

3:44:00 Whenever anything goes fast enough that it clips into a solid, or tries to spawn inside a solid, Noita teleports it straight upwards until it hits gas/liquid, and puts it there instead.

I wonder why they thought that this would be the best way to do it. It should try to alternate between trying to put it in all 4 main directions with increase distance, but maybe its better for performance.

(partial copy/pasta from a reply I made in your pinned thread. got long enough that I truncated that one and redid it as a main comment) Bro!!! Don't shoot yourself down so hard man! As many of the other replies to this comment say, getting wrecked, really is part of the experience. Getting that Art run last time, with your experience in the game, was seriously impressive; but you also got some pretty good RNG for it to happen. No, I'm not saying "you just got lucky" not even close. Even the experts in this game need the numbers to fall right for their crazy runs. I'm just trying to prevent you from getting disheartened because "I already got there once, why can't I get back there." You will get back there, and you'll be even more powerful by then. As you can see, I'm a bit behind on your vids, and there are several still ahead for me to catch, so you may have already done so by now. I'm just commenting as I get to it. In this game learning how one thing kills you, and subsequently learning how to skirt around it and make use of that, is all part of learning this game. Oh don't worry, each thing can kill you multiple ways, and learning how to avoid each of those deaths in the future counts as progress too. If you're talking 'official' progress, as in the progress on the progress menu, yeah, that thing takes FOREVER to fill out. I've got over 1k hours in the game (not a flex, thems is low numbers compared to many), and I'm still only about halfway through the monster side of the chart. I'm proud about only having about a third left left to find in the spell part of it. I'm still missing a single perk for the perk-list. I know where to get said perk, and it's STILL going to be a LONG time before I even get to it. Thanks to watching you learn the game from scratch. I'm actually considering wiping all my progress and starting from that first new game, (the only time you get to see the 'story' and that lonely torch outside the mines). I'm only _considering_ it though... But the button's RIGHT there in the settings menu... Augh, don't do it! ;) I've been working on beating one of the new modes you get when you first beat the game, and that's the main reason I'm not going to actually reset progress yet. lol 3:36:00 - That is actually very rare to even spawn, let alone spawn somewhere where you can tell ahead of time that it's there. ;) 4:57:30 - You're perk that eliminates projectiles at your back probably saved your butt a whole lot of pain (not quite death, but you'd of been hurting) Also, right after that time stamp - Yeah, the things that are good at getting gold, aren't that good at mining everything. And the stuff that is good at mining through everything, isn't particularly good at getting gold. LOL 5:08:00 - Holy carp! You've basically figured out which part of the mountain collapses it, AND how to bypass it, BLIND!!! - AND figured out that you can dig just outside the mountain to get back up, when you want!!! (I didn't even know you could do it that close to the tunnel, and my jaw is dropped) - Okay dude. Once you get far enough into the game to start looking into the meta-puzzles, you have enough potential, you might find a key [thing here that we don't know yet] to solve some stuff for the community! 7:32:00 - THAT thing is SUPER rare... Glad you got to see one. Can't wait until you manage to figure out what it is in the future. :D

Since you found a way up to the overworld already, here's a tip for getting up there a little easier: Explosives that explode on contact, or have a short fuse, can blow a chunk out of the wall right above where you start, which lets you get a foot hold to climb with. One or two good foot holds should be enough to levitate up from.

Why do new Noita streamers always call toxic sludge acid? Don't they see the color difference? Or some call it poison, even thou they have seen poison and toxic sludge already. I would understand if the liquids would be in Finnish, but they are not.
@1WolfFan5 ай бұрын
Not everyone sees colors as well as others. Both toxic sludge and acid are pretty green. Not to mention acid rarely sticks around because it usually evaporates into toxic gas - toxic sludge and toxic gas sound like they're related, so an association can be made with green stuff = toxic, and you've seen toxic sludge on the cursor, so that's clearly what it is... Essentially you mostly just see the sludge, OR get melted by acid blood from an enemy. It To players coming from other games, toxic sludge looks more like acid that happens to be sticky. Doesn't register as "dangerous as lava" until you've play long enough and start consistently shooting the guys with actual acid blood... And since both poisoning and toxic sludge tick down your health slowly, to them it would be logical that toxic sludge is poison. But early players don't even really SEE Noita's poison until WELL into their play hours.
