@augpeh Xenon flash (N8) can't be used as a flashlight because it only works in short, very bright bursts. As a result, xenon typically produces much better results for still photos. Of course, LED flash (C7) works for video (while xenon doesn't), so it's up to the customer to decide if still photos are more important, or video and flashlight.

@stuprint i think u r referring to a N8? if yes then its just a LED bulb for the charging and use of the USB port.

@Kingmobile That is because 5MP is the minimum specs to be aloud to produce a Handset with WP7. Also, I hope you know that the amount of MP is a hardware issue... Just like a 500MHz phone probably wont do very well shooting 720p. Because the fps would be lousy. It all has to do with the technology inside the phone and that part is up to HTC, Sammy, LG etc...

@Hotswap7 On N8 (that also have a capacitive screen) you just need to touch gently the screen to register. On iPhone 4 is completely overdone, the screen detects even when you finger is over the screen and haven't touched yet. I ask: what's the purpose of TOUCHSCREEN? Accidentaly activate things just by putting your finger over the screen or TOUCHING it?

I still feel to this day bitterness about Nokia, they kept trying selling Symbian OS, an outdated system and LIED about it, my regret in 2010 was fanning Nokia and not buying iPhone 3GS

@MrSuurijohtaja Actually Symbian is still used In Europe on Nokia phones, as you can see on this N8 here. Nokia is almost non existent here in the states so thats why you don't see Symbian that often.

@M29NT it's not slow screen, they use a programming technique, wherein, the main screen slides after you swipe ur finger..if rumours are to be believed, nokia is gonna come up with a firmware update which will make the screen slide like how they other smartphones do..

Still thinking whether to get this or Samsung wave.. Both fit my needs but the N8 has the best camera phone to date.. Both offer the best value for money and functionality.. Apple and Android seems nice but are just full of fluff and pretty UI which looks good but not really necessary. Good hardware from those OS's get a lot of price premium for what they can do. Neither platforms have the hardware to compete with the N8 for the price.

The C7 arguably rocks more than the N8. The C7's flash can be used as a flashlight but not the N8's.

@norlandanielbustillo for the x6 there are 3 versions one with 32gb, 16gb or 8gb!! there is no memory card slot so you can't expand the memory! as for the n8 it has 16gb internal memory and can be expanded to 32gb with a memory card!

@velt1870 they didn't bang the hardware at all - the simple fact of the matter is that because this phone does run Symbian it loses a lot of the audience's attention, Symbian just feels slow compared to iOS and Android. Not to mention the fact that s60 Symbain just put so many people off Symbian all together. I have a 5800 and cant wait to upgrade so I can get something else tbh

@Awayze well N8 has Anodized aluminium carl zeiss 12mp improved OS(which is highly customizable) wifi hotspot and FM transmitter Make calls and video call(real,both over wifi and 3.5G) Java enabled mail Hub Multi-touch over OS LOL >:P P.S-weaker CPU but better in graphic with Open GL and graphic accelerator ip never mention their A4 chip speed and it clockwise actually 800Mhz :P

@Awayze yea, i agree with that, the iPhone 4 is a lot better actually. iOS is much more stable and is a lot better than symbian^3, app store has a bigger selection of apps compared to ovi store. The screen reso is also better, making games looks awesome. Well, the N8 sure beats the iPhone in terms of camera and the GPU but whats the point of all those stuff when the OS sucks right? I'm getting the N8 only because of its price :)

@07liberian Symbian can no way come close to Android or iOS. I don't know why you consider your copy of Symbian unique. That is the same in any N8 around the world. Even feature phones offer you the capability of downloading many app and softwares that will make the phone different but not unique. So Symbian is no unique exception. And by the way Symbian is no open source OS. It is as closed sourced as WP7. The only open source (aka open OS) today is Android. That's it.

@07liberian I don't understand how come your N8 is different from other N8s in the world. All have the same OS and same hardware. Well anyway i don't feel Symbian is anything great. WP7 is way better. Had Nokia done some improvements at the right time with Symbian it would have been a OS in the reckoning. But sadly all manufacturers dumped Symbian for other OS options. After the release of WP7 phones by Nokia, they will restrict it to low end handsets and subsequently stop any more updates.

@07liberian Well i have used a WP7 phone. The tiles can be customized with any app or function and also the colour of tiles can also be changed. Yes multitasking is something that is not available though. But then even Symbian doesn't offer any great customizable features. Even a Symbian is no different from another Symbian on another phone. Atleast WP7 is not confusing like Symbian. No wonder Nokia is dumping Symbian atleast for its smartphones.

@@yohaneschristianp I realised that Windows Phone 10 was eventually the best. Lots of its hallmark features continue to exist within Windows 10 and 11. Windows Phone 10 phones still function the usual; most apps still work and common apps for desktop and phone work good. So Windows Phone 10 still works while Symbian phones have lost most of their functionality as a smartphone.

@07liberian LOL.. Smartphone is not about customizable wallpapers. That even i can do on my basic feature phone. Yes that may be the negative point with WP7 but atleast one can have customizable tiles on the homescreen. There is more flexibility and speed with WP7 which Symbian just can't offer. I am not saying it is completely useless OS. But yes it is not worth for a smartphone.

@07liberian Well i don't think Symbian is more customizable than WP7. WP7 is way too advance than Symbian. But yes, if this OS (that is Symbian) is polished well and more improvements are brought in it, it can easily be a strong competitor to todays major phones OS. Symbian Anna- the latest version of Symbian, is a strong example of what Symbian is capable of.
