You do realise this phone not only has 5 bands but also switches automatically between GSM and CDMA ... so you can connect to pretty much ANY network. "Operating Frequency GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 Automatic switching between WCDMA & GSM bands Flight mode" Also that micro to USB cable .. well try hooking up a keyboard to it! or a mouse or say a USB Stick. Yep that would be a USB Host controller you are connecting to. Enjoy playing with a real "Smart Phone"

Nokia a brilliant case for "Too Big To Fail' . Nokia actually trialed an android based prototype but dumped it cause they probably thought people would stick with Symbian ad the Nokia brand. Android blows Symbian out of the water. Then they were like oh windows mobile will be the next best thing ahahaahaah

I found an irritating problem in the music player. You can't choose "Artist" set, there's only a "Artist and Albums" choise. And that's bad, 'cause for example you have 2 albums from one artist, and you want to listen to all songs... now that's imposible. You have to switch between albums.. baaaaaaaaaaaad >:(

@brooklyn0978 Ive been quite disappointed with Nokia in the past and even now. My Nokia 5530 has made me decide to switch to blackberry. Reasons: 1. Slow OS. 2. Freezes when typing. 3. Crashes randomly when doing something simple like watching a youtube video or maybe even type up a text message.

The battery is fixed onto d unit and if d phone screws up i.e. doesn't turn on or off or software hangs, we gotta regular schedule for d Nokia Service Center to remove d battery most of the time!!! Mommy I'm scared! :(

If you hate it, then it's your own opinion, else from that "everybody" so keep it to yourself "dude". And yeah, we don't take the screen protector's off, unless they get out themselves after certain usage, but mostly and normally, Nokia Protectors doesn't really get's off the screen unless they are forced in any way. @ironicdevil666 Well you could call every black phone silver grey if it's not "extreme dark black" :D btw he said silver grey, there is also n8 with silver color, of course it's not real silver, it's aluminium and plastic with chrome on it but the color can be called silver. He probably thought that he gets the silver color but he got dark grey so he said for some reason silver grey but I really don't see why everybody is talking about this silver grey thing now..

Woah, I can just imagine what you can do with this phone, hdmi, also I can imagine this phone can be hacked. It's a shame that the N8 doesn't have the Android os, not that fimilar with the symbian os. I was going to get the Motorola Milestone 2 on contract, but I might go with the N8, as it's £23 for 18 month contract, 600mins, unli internet. Great Unboxing, I love ur vids Phonedog.

@jacobpenner1923 Whatever man, like said, i owned a Hero and a Milestone (EU version of Droid), now i have a Desire (from which i'm writing). I traded the Hero for a Milestone cause it was considered "high end" but i quickly realized that it was more of an unfinished product, not well enough polished for release. I experienced the whole Android open sourceness thingy, ROMs apps & stuff, but like i said, i got bored, i didn't even bother rooting my Desire.

As for these phones you supposedly owned, I'm pretty sure you just made that up because if you truly experienced Android you would agree that Symbian should only be on little teenage girl phones and not smartphones. I own an EVO 4G, Incredible, EPIC 4G, iPhone 4, Droid 2, Nexus One, Droid X, Desire HD, etc. Not really, but you see how easy it is to say that I own them, lol!

I owned a HTC Hero, Droid and HTC Desire, and i must say i missed Symbian very much because of the functionality (one thing that Andoid and iOS kinda lack) . One thing Android has over Symbian is the web browser which is really great, but i hope the new Qt browser from Nokia will be able to compete

@lespaulmasta42 well in laymans terms it means having two videos of the same shot - one shot with just your background, the other with your background/item. Then its basically a case of erasing the parts of the top layer. There should be some good videos on KZbin showing you.. Another way would be to green screen yourself. Although that'd have mixed results depending on how good you could get it.

@yoyopeanutbutter lol yes, but that is not that much to the importance, then the one directly upon the Gorilla Glass Touch Screen :P As the back one is scratch proof too, and it wouldn't really look normal keeping a protector at the back, but screen protectors are normal and keep the screen safe, even if it's whatsoever resistant... =)

I just got the phone today, i added songs in my playlist and i changed my mind on some of the songs and decided to take them off, but i could not find any "delete" or "remove" options. I have had a n8 for about 3 weeks now but when i wanted to do a software update...i had an error saying that there wasno phone connected...then my phone turned itself off and wouldnt start up again....so it seems dead now...and it was fully charged when i did the update....any suggestions on what to do anyone??? i rlly wanna smash it into a wall now..

@07liberian Sure, I made a mistake in buying it. But nokia also made a mistake in publicizing a hardware-lacking piece of crap as its flagship phone. So, what are we supposed to do when we make mistakes? We should apologise and take responsibility for our actions. And yet, nokia just practically abandons the n97.

@EddyKicksAss No. I have an LG Optimus 2x. So I actually know what is the benefit of the android. But the new anna update for the N8 is very good. And the camera and battery life is awesome.

I think the OS is pretty good in the N8. You dont have to charge it everytime you see a power outlet. Its supposed to be a phone you can carry with you and not have it connected to a cable twice a day..

Not worth it iMHO. Only has the camera going for it and even there the iPhone 4 matches or beats it. Processor is relatively weak, OS still not up to snuff and i'm not a big fan of it's sidekick look.

@SuperJDMFan i own n900 (I used it before for VNC Networking, IRC Chatting, Facebook, etc) and I don't even touch it anymore when I got my iPhone 4 (jailbroken)... & I bought e7 (similar to n8 with keyboard) yesterday, but I switch back to my old n97. Symbian^3 is too much of an eye candy but lacks the "SNAP" of its Symbian predecessor. You can wait for Windows 7 (NOKIA Version) coz i heard that they'll change some of WinMobile7 properties to fit some symbian capabilities.
