I think the Route 66 craze was from the late ‘50’s through the ‘70’s…I know, as I was a part of it. Our family drove the famed highway many times while trekking to family and friends. We did a short trip on I-40 (Rte.66) earlier this year and two years ago…loved it. Unfortunately, the TWIN ARROWS are no more…I don’t know why, if it crumbled, was stolen, was a hazard, whatever, but one of the “twins” is gone. So sad…all these historical places and things are going by the wayside now, being allowed to decay and die. I really loved the car museum in Tacoma, Eric! I think I saw our family’s 1964 white Pontiac Bonneville in there too! What a tank, what a car! Thanks for always bringing me along with you!…Virginia

I haven't been to the Tacoma Dome since October 1984. It was like a home show type of thing. Electronics, tv and radio station booths and the like on one side and then food, home appliances and other booths like that on the other side. One booth was a guy selling North Dakota beef. It's a long story, but the basic but is he asked if the beef he was selling wasn't the best I had ever had. I said not really. We went back and forth until he found out I was from western Nebraska. He even knew my hometown was known as the Cattle Capital. Fast forward to 1989 and he had his booth at a home and health show in my hometown, the Cattle Capital. He even remembered me 😄

Bub, just a quick tip. (Not about this video) Taking a video down because you didn't like the comments, then reposting, playing the victim at the beginning then turning off the comments, makes you look really, really, really bad. Long time subscriber here. Just admit you were not fully informed about it, and move on. This was petty.

Tom, my husband, drove in California up to Napa and would do anything to stay off I-5 there. Strange seeing it that open and fast moving in Tacoma. Loved the museum. When some cats sleep, their bones turn to rubber. We have one like that too. So glad that Opie and Tara can share your adventures. Sometimes we go places where Truxtop can't and when we return, he lets us know how mad by not coming around until treat time. Eric live your life in a way that makes you happy. People on line are sometimes so mean and say things they would never say in person. Stay true to you. Thanks

Thanks for the great tour of LeMay Museum. I remember years ago going to their car show when it was at the old convent property and they had cars every where. They even had boarded up the pool to store cars on top of the old indoor swimming pool. I had no idea there was now a museum. I'll have to check it out when I'm in town. Yes I5 Tacoma is becoming easier to travel even in rush hour traffic.

I appreciate and enjoy your channel. My wife and I are also full time RVers for the past six years. I'm sorry that you seem to draw a lot of hate comments. I don't understand why people feel it necessary to be stupid to you when they have a different opinion than you so again I'm sorry you have to read that crap. I wanted to comment on your Starlink video but you turned the comments off. I am a Starlink RV subscriber. I just wanted to say I agree with you that Starlink IS NOT for everyone and those who subscribe to the service should have a backup internet service as you pointed out. Managing data for a full timer is challenging. In addition to Starlink I also have an AT&T plan with approx. 150 GB of data to use when I'm parked where Starlink is obstructed or a metro area where their data speeds let's say "under perform". But I wanted to reach out to you to say in spite of the challenges that I like my Starlink because it's truly unlimited. In our six years on the road I've had just about every third party cell data carrier (including Nomad) and they all operate at the mercy of AT&T, Verizon, and now T-Mobile. I wish you safe travels and prosperity my friend! Keep those entertaining videos coming!

Eric, if you ever make it back to the East Coast in New England check out the Connecticut speedway. They allow camping all season including when they have their yearly NAS Car race. The race track goes around a table land. Camping is available in the middle all season long. Even if their is not a race. Their are also the Jelly Stone camping resorts all around New England. They are for family camping with full hook-ups and tent sites. They are all Yogi Bear themed. The camp hosts are all dressed like Ranger Smith, also you need to be careful with your picnic baskets, because staff dressed as Yogi and Boo Boo with steal them. Their really quirky. I believe their are Jelly Stone family camping resorts memberships available. Another place in New England that is a harvest host is Mystic Seaport in Mystic Connecticut with full boater hook ups. Not sure about their RV parking. I have never been their. I have used the Boating hook-ups. PS their are tent sites also available at the Connecticut, speedway. The camping area in the center of the race track is above the track. Their are pull outs around the track for the pit crews. It is really unusual. Their is a quirky story of why the put the speedway were it is. I need to research it.

Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama is the place for your next Nascar race. You can watch Nascar races from the infield twice per year & it's the nations fastest & largest oval race track at 2.66 miles. I saw my 1st race there in 1970 at age 12 the second year after the track opened. The International Motor Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is something else to see next to the track. But get your tickets early! Fantastic museum there in Tacoma and thanks for the tour!

Thanks for the tour of the car museum! Hope to check that out next summer. Another “left-over” from the 1962 World’s Fair is the monorail. A little history, All them cars are just a select few of Lemay's collection, Harold Lemay used to have tours of his home and Marymount property that had garages full of vehicles! One garage had even about 20 vintage firetrucks and a lot of his cars were original and not restored and parked within 2 inches of each other! His family had the Largest Garbage collection business in Washington (Including my house) and 10th in the country! He started with one truck in 1942 serving Lakewood, WA They did sell the co. after his death in 2000 but retained the collection at Marymount and built the museum
