I'm 82 years young and I took a solo 7 day train ride. I was on the California Zephyr (known as the most scenic train ride in the U.S.) from Detroit to Chicago to San Francisco and back. It was glorious riding through the Rockies - I was awe struck at all the beauty. I'm thinking of doing the trip you're on now. For me it beats airplanes 100%.

Man, WHAT AN ADVENTURE! This was so cool to see. Loved the adventure, I also felt it when you said you had to recharge your battery from being social. You really took us on one here. The way you summed up your thoughts, closed out the ride by shutting the lights off and closing the door, the music and your calm voice all had me wanting to tear up as we closed this chapter. It was so “moviesque” like I was actually at the theatre, had me looking for credits. What a great job! Until next time…❤❤❤

This video was incredible 🥹 I had a smile on my face and a little tear in my eye the whole time. Truly a beautiful trip I never knew I wanted to take. I really love the way you have been making your videos lately (always, but even more lately!). You doing your normal filming, but the added views with introspection and your thoughts narrated just hit different. When you share your reality (excitement, fears, etc.) it helps us to relate and understand better not only you, but ourselves. I know I personally sometimes struggle with similar social situations as you, and seeing someone who you respect also go through it and share their fears and victories, no matter how big or small is comforting. Your content is an oasis of such joy and comfort in the midst of the chaos and stress of life, and I thank you for that. Until I reach my life goal of wandering at will, I happily travel along with you. Thanks, Nomi. Be well, take care, and all the best from Oregon 🌲💙

Oh my, brought back memories of when my late husband and I took this train from Edmonton to Ottawa. It was this time of year and one of coldest Decembers for the longest time. Between Saskatchewan and Winnipeg everything froze! We had to disembark n Winnipeg overnight in hotel and then via rail chartered a plane to Toronto and then they bussed and taxied us to Ottawa in a brutal blizzard! It was a nightmare journey but worth it to see our first granddaughter who was born on December 14. Thanks for the memories from 16 years ago! 💕🇨🇦

I 😍😍😍this! So thankful I found your channel🎉 my mother & her sisters did lots of traveling via trains in the 50’s & 60’s. . . I did as a child but don’t remember much. . . You have certainly inspired me to try it as an adult . . I thoroughly enjoyed the trip -(minus the cold) with you right from my bedroom Lol 😂❤

Very pleased with your level of detail. As this trip (in reverse) is on my bucket list, I was curious about the train layout, meals, panorama cars etc. Your laid back approach (as opposed to the sometimes giddy and overly critical travelogues some people post) is much appreciated.
