To me personally "guys" referred to as a plural isn't gender specific. Perhaps in the singular you would have a valid argument. He was comparing race and other things to gender while completely disregarding the science behind being trans. Gender identification is caused by hormones, race however is not.

Thank you both for being so amazing. I've been out as non-binary for a while now and was struggling with the idea of wanting to go on hormones. I have recently realized that this is the next step for me.. which is very exciting. Just being who you are helps me to accept myself more. I was so suppressed for so long and initially came out as trans male. I see that this was just to fit into a societal role. Now I just don't give a shit anymore:) Keep rockin' it!

nico You do realize this is a mental health issue. A person can not be non biological, unless we are speaking about human look a like artificial intelligence machines. Fact is, humans are born either male or female. I understand that some people want to "switch rolls" in their life, but, asking people to play along with their idea or roll play is obsurd (talking about this pronoun issue). I also think that confusing children about their gender is disturbing. I don't think you realize how demoralizing it really is, and the implications it will cause in the future of our society. Aside from the fact he was incredibly rude, I can't stand it when people come on a show to raise awareness about the issues facing them, hoping for a genuine discussion to educate viewers, and the host never shuts up long enough to listen and allow them to tell their story. I think the main thing he didn't understand here is that being non-binary is not a choice, non-binary people have been around for ever (we just didn't have the words for it), just because it's a small percentage doesn't mean it doesn't matter and lots of people used to think that things were a fad / disgusting / bad such as: -being left handed -being gay -being bisexual (instead of just gay or straight) -being a binary trans person -and of course, being a trans person. The thing about identifying as an animal and identifying as non-binary is that brains are not wired depending on what gender you are and people of different genders have the same shaped brains, but of course you cannot think as an elephant, as their brains are wired completely differently. Anyway, you did a great job! Love you guys 💚

I find Piers hard to watch at the best of times, he asks questions that he doesn't want to hear answered. Despite his attitude you both did an excellent job in getting your point across. I was having dinner with my mother when she mentioned she saw this on telly this morning and I new straight away it was Fox and Owl. This led to a really interesting discussion around the table.
