Just a quick heads up, the sensors you saw at the end of the video need to be triggered for about 5 seconds before doing anything. I didn't communicate that in any way unfortunately. The second arch houses a ball collector at the top, hence being so big in the middle

a little tip to you scrapman. I hope its early enough so you read it. Try to make one sensor a priority so your vehicle never comes in this Deadlock Situation where both sensors cancel eachother out. For example. If bot sensors trigger - go right. This depends on the track if its more left curved or right curved. A possible problem with this is, that your vehicle might turn around

He tried that, and his reasoning for not doing that in this one was that it turned in both directions

In most of the case one sensor will detect first like 0.1 sec before (almost impossible for it to detect both at the same time if it already turned, example if you offset it a little so it has to turn) but the vehicule will be too slow. So you can just make it so one sensor cannot send the input if the other sensor detected white first.

This is not as good of a solution as it sounds especially for more complex tracks. It's possible to make it so when the first sensor triggers it cancels the other one from passing its signal, just put two XOR gates and make an SR latch so when both sensors trigger they don't impact the SR latch, but then an AND gate will make sure that both sensors are active and choose which direction to turn at depending on the data from the SR latch. An SR latch is simply two NOR gates where one of the XOR gates coming from the sensors goes into a NOR gate and both NOR gates go into each other.

you could have the sensors on pistons, and if both activate, the pistons extend until one deactivates. Whichever deactivates first should be treated as the only activated one. This could fix the problems of running straight into the perpendicular edge that happens at a corner

@@tomsterbg8130 Another way to do this is having a larger sensor array. You can have more sensors that extend past the main ones, and if both deactivate it knows it's off an edge. Then, it can have sensors that pop out the sides on pistons. If you're on a corner, one sensor will go off the edge and the other sensor will be above the path. Then, just turn in the direction of the enabled sensor, and you'll be fine. Edit: actually, you could use the two main sensors instead of having sensors that extend. If both turning sensors are active, pop out more turning sensors that differentiate the ground and the edge.

Well you have to keep in mind that some things like electric engines have even symmety which will lead to an imbalancement when you get to the tight one block line

This has to detect edges though. So it makes sense for the sensors to be further out. It's technically detecting two lines, rather than just the one down the center.

This Chapter 2 reminds me of the random videos KZbin sometimes recommends to me. There's competitions where people build a robot that follows a tape line, and winner is based on speed and accuracy. I belive there's 2 varients, one like Chapter 1 and one like chapter 2.

tips (or not idk) you can reverse the opposite side of wheels for like 0.5 seconds if the sensor detects the white/black lines, then if you hit both sensors on white it'll back up and hopefully fix itself then just make it so if the sensor doesnt detect anything then the opposite side just goes forward this makes it's turns faster and makes it use less logic gates you can also get rid of the 0.5 seconds if the space is cramped also this method slightly tweaked works for line follow

Tip: you can make your car move backwards when both the sensors are active without extra logic Just make the engines that make the car go backwards go faster then the ones that go forwards When all the engines are active the back engines that are faster overpower the front engines and the vehicle goes backwards without the need of extra logic

It's a great challenge pack but there's a lot of cheese :) You can block the door so that it's not closing when you're starting it (which means also for the first 8 challenges you don't need to build anything). Also the code for the hammer chest is in the spawning box :)

for the line following levels i would have 2 black detectors *on* the line, and it turns the opposite way if they stop detecting it, thats how irl line following robots do it

Hi Solve deadblock problem(when tow sensor detect line at the same time) with logic. I think timer or contoroler should work to creat delay for one side and offset sensor or another way.

I think it would be easier to use different colors to each circuit, I mean, for example, brown for motors, purple for sensors and so on, it beacome easier to see where each circuit is and what does it do.

With the sensors if you have 1 sensor at the front saying if black is detected move forward and have 2 sensors one on the left and one on the right to be the turning sensors it should stick to the line well and in the event it can't turn and move forward to say if all 3 are detecting black move backwards and turn left for example

Hello scrap man I would like to suggest something for the next video. It would be a transformer hover/ normal drone. It would transform to robot and back to a hover craft drone then with a button you make it a regular drone. Thus might be a challenge. And please consider this.
