I have the exact opposite, i always ask for just lettuce, no sauce. Just lettuce on bread with meat. I had to hone my "no wait" reflexes to the limit, because everytime they WILL reach for sauce, and ask if i wanted any while pouring the entire bottle of it on my bread. I get that these types of orders are rare and wierd and all, but everytime they fuck up i just want to punch a hole trough the wall and jump out off it. Subway Employee here: The evil look was because she now has to toast the bacon all by itself and put it on your sandwich which is a pain. If you had asked for bacon before she toasted it, it wouldve been easier to toast it all together. And now youre wasting precious time because she has to run a whole store by herself and theres a line forming behind you keeping her from doing what she needs to get done in the back before her shift ends, when making a sub takes ages longer than making a burger. And its an extra charge cause its an extra charge.

I think I have done that before. Ok so I sometimes volunteer at my local hospital, and inside the cafeteria is a subway. Now, I always ask for a 6 inch with cheese, ham, and lettuce. And the only reason I add lettuce is so (if you couldn’t tell by the contents in my sandwich, I’m basic AF alright, I’m the most basic person that’ll ever order from any subway), I decide to add lettuce so I don’t appear super basic, and, it’s true, they always give me a fuck ton of lettuce, but I just take it off.
