@@boulevard14he has gotten frustrated a few times, but he always maintains a sense of humor. He’s actually raised his voice to Danielle in at least one video. But I think it’s more a natural thing that happens sometimes when family members disagree. I don’t necessarily think that it’s all frustration from the dementia. My mother had dementia and it was so hard on my dad. He felt such a strong responsibility to care for her…but his health is fragile. My mom passed a few months ago…and despite the grief he experiences, it is very noticeable that he has the burden of her care off his shoulders. I lived with them for a few years…and then they moved to a home. We were hoping it would take pressure off my dad, but it didn’t. My mom wasn’t as positive as Ed is. She was in a constant state of discontent. My dad (and I) would try so hard. She simply wanted things her way. There were good moments in-between and these videos help me remember those.

Awhhh Dan, he's getting farther & farther away from you. I'm so so sorry. When the good days come, treasure them! I've been watching for so long that the bad days really tare me up!!! I don't think I've ever cried so damn hard.

I allways gets kind of sad about Ed when I watch these clips. Ed is great, but what a nasty disease. Thanks to Dan and his wife and Mark for taking care of him.

He's in a great mood for conversation. And you are a very patient interacting presence for Dad Ed. You, Danielle, and Mark have truly taken and embraced the responsibility of caregiving Dad Ed in his old age. God bless 🙏 you all.

I love Dr. Ed! Love to watch him process his whereabouts and the need to make sense of it. Afterwards, he sums it up by addressing his love of family. 💕

I love Ed. He’s just delightful to listen to. God bless you Dan. Your father is sooooo funny when he says that’s a pretty good deal that he doesn’t pay rent. I think he did very well understanding everything you explained to him. Thank God he is asking questions. As you well know it means he’s doing some serious calculating. When I say he’s funny I am in no way criticizing him. He has a great sense of humor. That’s one reason we all love him. I have been where you are and I miss my father dearly.
