Danielle is my wife. Dad we have been married for 25 years. I felt that. My late dad told me I needed a husband. I told him Mike is my husband. He looked puzzled, as he told me it was about time we had gotten married. I looked at my dad and said, Mike and I have been married for 31 years. Dad responded, without missing a beat, Oh I thought y'all were just shacked up together. Tragic and super funny at the same time. Yes he was fixated on his checkbook, going to the bank, why was I always driving his car. Thank goodness he still had his house for the remainder of his life. Although he completely forgot he had a house, once his room became available at a VA nursing home. A wonderful benefit, that paid for 100% of his care. Due to his service connected disability. After retiring from the Navy after 25 and a half years of service.

@@donnaheater9090 Good morning, they have only put him on a mood stabilizer, which has helped him/me out. We had asked about medications and they said that there's nothing that can really help him out. I had to ask for the mood stabilizer. He does have sundowners as well, he doesn't take any meds for leukemia or lymphoma. Our youngest daughter is his caregiver. She helps us out quite a bit because I can't keep up with everything. We feel very blessed to have her help. I am disabled myself and it's been extremely rough. We've been ripped off by contractors during all of this as well as robbed by them. 90% of my clothes as well as all my cookbooks including all my cancer/ healthy ones. The insurance company won't pay us because I couldn't get through everything in time. I have been through a lot of things in my life but getting robbed is like getting raped/ molested and that feeling isn't easy to stuff down repeatedly. Sorry, rough morning and probably going to have to pay over $3000 for his eye glasses. I keep trying to move forward and to be happy because life is too short and he's my everything! Hopefully a vow renewal in August for our 25th anniversary. He's hoping to see Alaska and finish up his 50th state while he can still see but he doesn't realize the costs of everything. He was given a Christmas miracle last year, we're so fortunate that he's here and is doing so much better. They never figured out what caused it all but we now know that he has A Fib as well. It's so refreshing to see an extended family who deeply care about each other! All of you take such good care of your father. He needs trustworthy family members at this vulnerable age with dementia. Many families steal all their parents' money, drop them off at nursing homes, and rarely even visit, leading to severe depression for the isolated parent. Such a caring man as your father deserves to have caring people look after him. Your father is always so concerned about the well-being of his descendants, siblings, and other relatives. He's such a considerate gentleman.😊💗

Aww, you two are adorable! Bless your Dad’s heart, he’s trying so hard; that’s got to be very difficult trying so hard to remember! Wrap your arms around him, he needs that! I watch all your videos & you both either have me laughing or crying. Jesus bless you both. With Love & Prayers, Pat 💓👏🙌🕊
