NON-STOP Round Baler! Vermeer + Lely

Determined to keep operators moving forward in the field in order to boost productivity and save time, Vermeer has introduced the first fully continuous round baler (CRB). Developed in conjunction with agriculture innovator Lely Group, the new CRB concept machine allows two bales to be formed simultaneously, enabling the operator to continually move forward without having to stop and wait for a finished bale to eject before moving on to the next bale.

I’ve got the 604 Pro which I think this is the 504, the lower model. Lely makes the best bailers, though Massey/Adco now owns them there’s no telling how much longer Vermeer will have them. Massey sells the same baler under their name, except they only have the 4160V (404 Pro) and 4180V (504 Pro)... not the 604 (yet).

Vicon Fastbale and Krone Ultima are both mashines which run in Europe for a couple of years now in any kind of condition, I think, the vermeer would allso performe quiet well

Awesome When will this be part of the self propelled Baler? Whom ever builds one please include Silage Bales. You could add wrap as an option. Im not asking for much am I ? Lol

I think I would much prefer an alarm stop baler. Looking at the cost and complexity of the Vermeer Baler seems just to keep moving while baling costs too much with complexity and component cost.

I don't disagree with your thoughts, but as a former customer hay operator, we loose a crap ton of time tying and dropping big round bales, this really does look promising. When you have hundreds of acres to bale this starts to pay off quickly, and like anything preventive maintenance not just fixing breakdowns is keep to keeping equipment in top shape.

Hard to believe farmers could actually afford to buy new machinery like 50 years ago. I'm 35-40 and farming and have bought nothing new that cost's more than $2,500-$3,500 range.

Hugs yes , I’m no farmer but it occasionally happens with the best of intentions stopping and reversing to drop the bale at 90 degrees to a slope 👍

I’d rather have the cash that it take to buy a set up like that.Vermeer be my last choice for a baler. Look at all the used equipment sellers you’ll see several used Vermeer balers for sale.
