Enjoying reading all the comments! Happy to hear you enjoyed a cleaning video. I was afraid no one would watch 😂 Correction from video: I don’t use micro fibre cloths (they contain plastic) I use cotton cloth. Works a treat to shine stainless steel! Hope you’re all having a lovely day. Sending you love and thanks again for all the support you give me even though I only post once a month 😊🤗🌈🍀

I worked as a housecleaner most of my working life. I always felt pleased that I was doing much-needed work. My clients were deeply appreciative of the help. I especially loved working for families with young children, as they often clearly needed the help. As the same time, I have always loved cleaning my own home. I feel that cleaning helps me to be present with my home and to show it gratitude for all it gives me.

I buy a gallon of Castile soap every year. I use it for everything: dishes, I have foaming soap containers in kitchen and bath sits by the sink and I move it to the shower when I bathe. I use it as laundry soap, I make windscreen washer for the car, mop floors. I don’t use it on my hair, but I wash the dog with it because it’s unscented and tear free. I have switched to tooth powder which I make with betonite clay powder, raw cacao, baking soda and xylitol. I do the same thing with my kitchen brushes, except I found a stainless steel handle that you just slide the brush on to. I send twice as much to the heat composter than I do to the landfill. While some things are more expensive (bamboo dental floss) I buy so much less that I’m still ahead. You have really inspired me over the years! Thank you♥️ Can’t help with the toothbrushes, I’m still using my electric toothbrush 🤭

I clean my toilets daily and I 've since I was very young. I read a book by two ADHD mothers- they suggested a quick swish with a brush would keep the build up from hard water and mess from building up. It is so much of easier. I raised my two boys who are now 45 and 43 this mantra "Trash , Dishes, Laundry" every day of our lives! They grew to be good men and their families are minimalist and they inspire me! I fun to hear the old Mantra being taught to the grandkids! Something done daily is just easier to live with!

Hi Niamh, I live with my mom, I have a degree and a bunch of specializations...and I clean my bathroom everyday 😊 I love cleaning the apartment, and for the bathroom I use powdered citric acid, vinegar, or a cheap toothpaste that'll make faucets shine! I worked as a cleaner for a while 7 years ago and I never felt humiliated, my clients were actually devastated when I quit my job, and asked me to please come back for a year. I always had the utmost respect for cleaners, they do one of the most important and often difficult job in the world (I'm thinking about hoarders' houses now) and I love deep cleaning! I spent this morning deep cleaning and I feel satisfied and happy. A big hug from Italy ❤

I find I’ve always been inspired to do a full home deep clean both in spring and autumn for bookend purposes. For autumn it feels right to reset the home before you go into the winter when you’re prone to staying in more and want to make sure you’re setting your immune system up for the best chance. Obviously the spring again to reset after a full winter of heavy use. Obviously still cleaning the basic regularly like you say to remind yourself you’re a living being who leaves behind a life trail that sometimes needs scrubbing up after.

Always the best idea to keep up with daily cleaning. It really makes a difference as far as not having to do big cleanings if things get too grimy. I put together a chore list and each day have a few tasks…so I split them up during the week. It helps to do them in little chunks through the week vs all at once.

Thankyou for the beautiful words and video it really landed with me as I’ve been doing cleanings as a job recently out of need and have had that feeling of somewhat seeming to be at rock bottom scrubbing toilets but recently I read a quote that God brings you to rock bottom to help you see that He is the rock at the bottom 😊 and that made me feel better. Great video. I needed to listen to your calming voice today. My mom always cleaned the bathroom daily after everyone left the house. There were 7 of us so it was probably necessary. She continued when there were only 2 of us left. Anyone earning an honest living to support themselves and their families is to be commended. Respecting others is so important. Your home is so calm. I still have too much stuff and need to sell or give it away soon. Your little faerie and my granddaughter are close in age. She brings absolute joy to our lives. Her giggles are beautiful. Love the video, and yes your dad was right, have said this same thing many times in my life. If you find a toothbrush (recyclable plastic), please let us know. I dont like the bamboo because the bristles fall out too easily. I am an older person and still “houseclean” every 6 months, even when i worked i managed it. It just gives me a good feeling, and i do not use toxic cleaning products either - white vinegar, baking soda, and i save the orange peels, etc. The natural cleaning products work well and i make my own laundry detergent as well. Haven’t come up with a dishwasher detergent yet, so if you know of a homemade one, love it if you would share. Didn’t use a dishwasher for years, but now arthritis has made it difficult to hold onto all the dishes. Thank you for your lovely videos.

Those are all excellent tips. I have found if you wipe down the shower after your finished it cuts the cleaning in half. I keep a squeegee in the shower and go over the entire shower including the shower floor. Keeps everything squeeky clean. A simple wipedown with vinegar is all I ever need doing this daily routine.

I totally agree!! We have hard water that can stain as we live in the wilderness of northern 🇨🇦. Like you, we have found that wiping down the shower after use leaves it shiny clean, and this cuts the scrubby-cleaning in half. Sometimes it can seem like a bit of a hassle, but it takes just a moment or two and it saves on scrubby-cleaning in the long run. Great tip, thanks for sharing. Greetings to you from 🇨🇦. Ⓜ️ary

Such a relaxing and inspiring video as always! Regarding bamboo toothbrushes, I found with mine that if I always dry the whole toothbrush with a towel after every use, it doesn't go mouldy and they wear out for composting before anything nasty happens to them. Not sure if you do that or if it would work for you or not, however wanted to share with you 😊

Is was a hard job but I had the nicest car at school and it was all mine! That job taught me so much! I agree, it keeps you humble! Xo

I love cleaning once I get started. There are things that are done and usual for us all! I deep clean spring and Autumn, daily cleaning keeps me on task and doing that things are in a better shape for the BIG DEEP cleaning, Bits and peieces through out the year. Cleaning out side doors and windows probably 4 times a year. I also like Norwex cleaning cloths, they have a built in antibacterial prosperity’s. And wash with the others of the like.

I have an airing cupboard in my bathroom which really was the cupboard of doom fulĺ of products old towels and bed linen and no matter how I tried to reorganise it , it always ended up the same one big mess😊 so I bought the kon Marie book which helped me enormously with organising I systematically went about using it all up sorting out towels and bedding and reducing what we kept. It's been a couple of years now and now when I open it I don't fear the whole lot tumbling out. I also clean the toilet everyday just a bit of water and washing up liquid, It's like I'm giving my family a gift of love when they next come to using a clean toilet. I love cleaning it can be a little meditation when we show care and respect for the things we own we actually do value them I always love your videos and want to thank you for sharing them xx

I love Dissolving rhassoul/ red Moroccan clay in some water in a reusable squeeze bottle, or in a silicone bowl and using it in my hair. It rinses out beautifully and takes the same amount of time as shampoo, I find. If I want to switch things up and use a shampoo bar, I LOVE Ethique's Bar minimum unscented shampoo bar. I use diluted apple cider vinegar infused with hair-loving herbs as my conditioner and do a last rinse under cool water. I'l put a little oil on the ends while my hair is still damp. Less soap scum to clean, less garbage to toss, and my scalp and hair have majorly transformed!

I remember hearing a woman and new mother say years ago that she knew it was time to return to paid work when she found herself cleaning bathroom grout with a toothbrush. Everyone in the room laughed, but ive since remembered her words whenever i find myself cleaning grout with a toothbrush. I couldnt identify with her words because i dont have the option to not clean my grout, but i can identify with yours words. Its a lovely perspective for me to contemplate when im cleaning our bathroom. Thankyou.

Beautiful video! Though it didn't get me to clean my bathroom, it did inspire me to finally tackle a room in my house that needed serious attention; my art studio/office :) I had been putting it off for almost a year and it was looking like a hoarder's den - now I finally have floor space again and it is a much better environment. So thank you!! And I do look forward to doing a proper cleaning of my bathrooms. You gave great tips, and it was very encouraging! Much love from NB, Canada

We just moved to a new place end of May and I have been enjoying giving a thorough clean to my bathroom every Sunday since... I used to not like cleaning the bathroom but knowing that this is my place, there's something special about it! I also use water/vinegar with tea tree oil and baking soda! Your new bathroom is lovely! And I love the window!

Hello. I loved this month's video. There is something very calming about watching someone else work! On the subject of sustainable teeth care, I have used The Humble Co. toothbrushes which are made of plant based materials and are very good. I also use 'Waken' toothpaste with natural peppermint/spearmint flavourings and the metallic tube is fully recyclable. Thank you for all the inspiration every month, especially with regard to what we place value on in this life xx

We’ve used a foaming soap pump from muji for years. I mix 3 squirts of dr bronner Castile soap with water. I use that on my toddlers hair too. We don’t use soap on their body either. I only use it sparingly too!

So satisfying to see your bathroom sparkle. Lately, I've been cleaning all the walls and dusting around and behind all artwork on the walls. It's so dusty! I've also cleaned the ceiling fans, which are now free of dust. It's nicer to breathe without dust motes in the air. My normal motto is that dust is a protective coating for your fine furniture. I could clean more often than I do. I use microfiber cloths along with vinegar, baking soda, and Castile soap to clean most everything. Everything smells fresher, which is to say there's no scent at all. PS - Happy to see the little fairy's glee with her bath toys. That's a satisfying use for a sparkling clean bathroom--to polish up your tiny fairy and help her sparkle ever more brightly.

I recently watched the video stating that cleaning your toilet daily is a habit of successful people. I've also heard that baking soda and vinegar is what a biochemist uses for grout, one of my children researched that. I'm going to try it this week. I started using half the amount of laundry detergent as recommended and then a friend gave me her homemade laundry detergent recipe that is very inexpensive and no unnecessary packaging. I've enjoyed watching your videos.

I wanted to thank you for the bathroom glass cleaning tip. It worled like magic and all the stains were gone! 😊 Everyone was surprised at home.. We have been living in this home for past 13 years or so and lately the water stains had become a nuicance ..we had tried so many things ( including expensive chemicals) but nothing worked. I never thought of using the iron fiber mesh and now the door is like brand new❤ Love to the Little fairy ✨ Manisha

I house clean deeply twice a year : beginning of spring and beginning of septembre. I remove everything just to help with fine vibs and a shiny sweet home, declutering and using natural products, of course. I love cleaning my bathroom 'cause I feel in peace with my beauty routine then. This is a place where I need to be without any dirt, surrounded by organic products: soaps, flower waters.... And my toilets must be shiny too😊I take care of my bathroom as I take care of myself. 🌟

I love watching cleaning videos. Your soap dispenser is prettier than mine. I just squirt Castille soap in and add water. It makes foamy soap too. My general cleaner is water, dawn soap and essential oil. I use it to clean everything. I read a book once written by a professional cleaner the higher up your job the more you need to clean your own toilet. I clean my sink and toilet daily too. Love your tips. 🥰
