@@ej-rg2ww same man it’s driving me nuts , I replaced crankshaft sensor and it got rid of 4 Misfires but I still get the p0018 code crankshaft , camshaft correlation bank 2 it’s driving me up the wall. Figured im going to do an oil change and see if anything happens

I Did my oil service and replace my camshaft sensor and I’m still getting the code P0018 I don’t know what to do next I’m gonna check the wiring to the connector of the cam sensor

Hello! Just purchased a used 2006 ML350. It has 2 codes. P0023-P0019 Camshaft sensors it says. Do you think it’s the actual sensors, or that the timing is actually off and throwing a code because the sensor and actual timing do not agree? I do not have a check eng light. This is an airport car, so what happens if I do nothing? Thanks. 135k

Hi Reggie, as you are receiving multiple error codes, we suggest to get your vehicle visually inspected by your local mechanic for further diagnosis.

Hi Jose, kindly examine the wiring harness and repair/replace if you found any damage. Test the sensors if functioning correctly. Issue with timing belt/chain could also trigger this code.

I changed out the timing chain and water pump after a coolant leak into the oil and got everything cleared up and it runs fine now but can't seem to clear the code p0018 cranshaft position correlation code...do you know if I need to change that sensor

Hi Joseph, kindly check the sensors using the voltage tester to see if they are functioning properly. Have you visually inspected all the wiring related (including the harness where it plugs into both sensors) for any visible damage?

@@nondainc no I'm going to do one last oil change and check the crankshaft sensor..not sure if having the milkshake mixture might have threw it off

P0016-00 P0018-00 P0017-00 P0019-00 it gives all these error codes at the same time.. wrong crankshaft sensor installed. so it might be giving error

Man I serviced my oil change on my 08 s63 amg Mercedes Benz always full synthetic 5w-40 have the p0018 code stating the: THE POSITION OF THE INTAKE CAMSHAFT OF THE LEFT BANK IS IMPLAUSIBLE (P0018) Replaced oem dealer camshaft sensor cleared the light check engine still comes back for the same issue any help ??

Hi Jr, are there any other codes registering together with this code? Please ensure that you are using a correct engine oil and check the wiring to the camshaft sensor on bank 2.

@@nondainc I serviced the oil change about a week ago and the light still triggered p0018 I purchased new oem cam sensor and still no hope ? 😞

Hi Jr, we suggest taking your vehicle to your local mechanic for further diagnosis.

@@JiGS-Family12_26 you may need to run a "relearn" for the sensor. Sometimes this code will set due to timing chain wear. A factory or bi-directional scan tool may be needed to initiate the relearn.

I switched the exhaust vvt solenoid to the intake solenoid side so see if the code will maybe change and no hope just did the liquid Molly full synthetic 5w40 issue still persists.
