Nonna's burgers is how my parents make burgers (a family recipe from my Irish dad's side of the family). But we use lean beef, salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce and fry the burgers, no need for bread crumbs or eggs.. Then we have mashed potato and mashed swede, the mashed swede is fried a bit in the burger oil/grease. We call it Paddy (as in St Patrick) grub as it's a tried and tested recipe from the Irish side of the family

I make a 100% pork; with secret seasonings, burger on the grill on a regular basis. It is amazing. It is much dense than a beef burger, think breakfast sausage with 1/2 the fat. Oh so delicious.

It must have been awful for anyone in that situation. You grandfather was only six years old and if he had spoken to anyone about this man from the "United States" he would have dire consequences
