​@amaas211 original time line mk9-mk11 hanzo hasashi(scorpion) leader of the shi rai Ryu was attacked by the lin keui who (depending on version/movie) was either hired to kill hanzo and his family or they were in a blood feud and lin kuei attacked them after said attack it left all of the shi rai Ryu wiped out and bi han(sub zero) kills hanzo hasahsi in the mk9 game scorpion meets bi han in Shang tsungs temple after bi han is given a mission from quan chi to steal shinnoks(elder gods of death) amulet scorpion catches bi han doing it and since he wants his vengeance attacks bi han teleporting him to the netherealm in the netherrealm scorpion beats bi han but chooses to spare his life BUT Quan chi shows up and shows him a fake hologram thing of bi han killing the shi rai Ryu which causes scorpion to lash out and kill bi han after that scorpion returns to Shang tsungs temple with bi Hans skull. Further down the line (just a tency bit) quan chi resurrects bi han and he becomes noob saibot and quai Liang bi Hans younger brother takes the mantle of sub zero. Later scorpion discovers thru quai Liang and getting his memories back that it was actually quan chi who set it all up and later both hanzo( at this point he is restored to his human self) and quai Liang want quan chi dead they're both grandmasters of there respective clans so they hatch a mission to execute quan chi whose atp locked up by the special forces(Sonya and Jax group) and they do scorpion finally getting his revenge beheading quan chi There's alot more too sorry if this sucks

Na Scorpion is Hanzo Hasashi who lived 400 years ago and was murdered by Bi Han because he was promised a better future for the Lin Kuei by Shang Tsung. Kuai Liang is is Bi Hans brother and creates the Shirai Ryu after his brother corrupted the Lin Kueis ways. In MK9-11 Scorpion is the one who created the Shirai Ryu

Corrections; Not the FIRST mortal kombat. But the first we play. Noob Saibot was never a baby, but the soul of the “first” sub-zero Bi-Han. Bi-Han and Hanzo (scorpion) were both hired by Quan Chi to get the amulet of Shinnok. And hanzo died and became a specter as scorpion, and quan chi manipulated Scorpion to think Sub-zero killed the Shirya Ryu(? Idk if I spelt it right I’m sorry) but quan chi did. Then when scorpion got revenge on Bi-Han. Quan used his dark magic to use bi-Hans soul to become another specter as Noob. And Noob was never apart of any clan except the “clans of hell” which he became a ruler of at one point. This is from what I remember, please correct me if I’m wrong

There wasn't any source material to pull the lore from because the games were the lore itself and the lore expands as each game gets released.
