I just bought the grand after falling in love with it at the store. Unlike any other keyboard, it’s hammer action is beautiful, it may not be exactly like a real piano but in a way has its own feel that makes you want to play. Also it has foot pedal thud noise to replicate real pedal sounds which I actually like. What you don’t get from any demo video of the grand is those sweet sweet monitors that immerse and surround you in the sound, you just can’t show that in a video, so you really have to try this setup in person to understand the magic of this product.

Great playing ! I’m loving my Nord Grand. It’s sublime to play. My only complaint is that you can’t layer or split piano samples. It would be epic if I could customize my own piano sample like you can on the piano 5. I could do without most of the synth section. After all it’s called the grand.

Yup the functions on Grand is pretty limited... Which made me purchased another easy midi keyboard for PC stuff. But the Grand has always been a great pleasure to play!

In your opinion how does the Grand action feel compared to the Kawai MP11SE?

its hard to say as we have limited experience with the MP11 but compared to alot of things the kawai action on the grand is fantastic, quite light and gives you the freedom to play faster if you so choose. Hope this Helps

i've never heard the Nord monitors to compare, but I play mine through Yamaha HS-8 monitors and it sounds amazing.

the Nord Grand action is awful. It's bouncy with a rubber mallet thump at the bottom. Not a fan.

You might’ve gotten a bad one or played a bad one. Minds is perfect no problems.

Doesn't sound like an authentic acoustic piano, especially in the mid section.
