It's finally finished! My detailed Sanctuary is done and before we hop off to build the surrounding settlements; I wanted to give you all a highly detailed tour.

Why not move Dogmeat's house into the small bunker by the greenhouse and decorate it with various doggy junk (i.e., dog dishes, baseballs, maybe a femur or two, etc.). Like a Dogmeat palace. Just an idea.

Best Sanctuary I have seen by far. This is amazing, and has inspired me to attempt building up Sanctuary. I personally used res rocket, but if I build sanctuary I can have a nice supply line set up, and two viable places a few steps away. Glad to see I am not the only one with a shrine to Atom in their settlement xD, keep up the good work bro.

Just WOW. I'm sure everyone's said it, but damn that's a labor of love. Amazing creativity and quality. I have hundreds of hours in this game and good portion of that was building I'm sure, so I certainly can appreciate this. Some questions that you or anyone here who may know feel free to chime in on (or not - I just can't look through 800 comments to see if it's already there) - did this go over the build limit and need the loop hole to get past that. If it did go way over, notice any bugs because of it? I feel like if I built any of my settlements with this much detail that they would start running with very poor fps. Maybe not though? I usually use OC decorator or some other mod that makes the items immovable - does it help performance if they are simply placed there manually outside of workshop mode. Anyway. Beautifully done.

That is excellent. Fortunately for me there is a chap who made some mods for Sanctuary with the best player home there to date, neighbouring houses tidied up, and surrounded in junk fencing. It looks great. You may know him! BTW his other settlement mods look great as well, and they're in those awkward building areas which is ideal for me coz I never really came up with anything good for those places, it was always "That'll do".

Love it Davey. Having built large expansive settlements, I find them hard to finish the details because of their size. I'm starting to prefer the smaller, more realistic settlements like this one and Tenpines. You have me wanting to start a 2nd character and take this smaller settlement approach and use my main save for when I have the itch to do something grand in scale.

What you have built here is absolutely incredible sir!!!! You have put a lot of time and effort and Sanctuary now truly captures a "rebuilt" settlement in a post-apocalyptic World. I do have one question. You keep mentioning how you did the floor glitch, or wall glitch...how is this done exactly, and well, what does it do exactly? This is the thing I love about Fallout 4. People complain about the role playing and decisions not affecting the game world but the role playing in terms of your character build and now settlements too is something Bethesda has done great with.

Heeey it's the car moving technique that I waste huge amounts of time doing for fun. I was using the empty wooden crates and pushing the crates with a shovel or a broom, and thus pushing the car with the crate with the broom. The minigun is going to be super useful now. btw you can scrap cars you push into your settlements once you push them within the boundary. ;^)

One recommendation - if you will mention spoilers in your commentary, a nice warning in the beginning would've helped :( Just picked up the game and still going through the story, so you called out some spoilers that really ruined it for me. FYI Davey - you could do the door switches by using the conduit switch on the inside of the door, connect it to a through-wall connector conduit section and then a normal switch outside connected to the door, it's much easier and faster to do, plus it looks neater!

What I've done is scrap everything on the way to my small sanctuary and put down diamond city style scaffolding ramparts along the road. It definitely fills up the spaces left by scrapping and gives it a fortified and safe atmosphere.

For the garage door at the entrance, you can use your 'powered door with two switches' technique on that door so you can close it on both sides!

When you get mods, there is a mod called DIY Clutter, which adds static clutter to bookshelves that you can place. It is very handy to make areas feel more lived in without having to manually place every single piece of junk.
