Norm gets all the credit in the world from people who know comedy, he's constantly acknowledged as one of the greatest standups of all time. His movies just weren't that good. His second one, Screwed, was terrible from what I remember of it. It happens because comedy doesn't always translate, Bill Cosby was a great standup, terrible movies. Dana Carvey was great on SNL, his movies suck.

This movie came out back when I was in high school. At the time, one of my classmates' mom i think worked at a video store or distribution location where demo copies of new movies would be given out for review so the stores could decide how many copies to stock, or perhaps to be able to familiarize themselves with and recommend to customers. My classmate would get these copies, which had text scroll across the screen to inform that it was a demo version, and he would lend them out to people in class. This was one of those movies i borrowed from him. Gotta say, loved that movie when it came out, lol.

Another underrated Norm Macdonald film is "Screwed" (2000) with Dave Chappelle and Danny DeVito. It has many hilarious moments and I think it was Macdonald's final attempt at a leading role. Sadly the movie sits at 13% on Rotten Tomatoes and faded into obscurity.
