It's a good thing Joe is an excellent musician successful enough to indulge his passion for buying music gear. John D. Holland IV, D.C. I’d say that you are probably right. The Bassman is likely $10-15,000, Precison Bass probably $20-25,000, the Strat maybe $50-60,000. It could be a little higher considering the condition of all three.

I was going to watch this video because I love when Joe and Norm get together but when I saw Mark Agnesi I just couldn't do it. Unfortunately his is the least liked face by guitar owners worldwide by being at the forefront of Gibson's attack on smaller manufacturers. Instead of upping their game to compete with the smaller guys they try and take them out while increasing their prices. Even a moron can see that you're excluding yourself from the main market of guitar buyers and only appeal to the 1% who are mostly buyers and not players. Joe is a player and Norm is a buyer and they both appreciate the life that the instrument has given them while others just see it as a way of filling their pockets

...love Gibson and I appreciate Mark. Down here in the colonies, we appreciate everything that US has offered the world in terms of music and quality instruments to play that music. We don't have time to pass judgement on individuals and companies who, in the process of making a living, are doing their best to provide joe public with the best possible product, at the best possible price. I for one, value my Marshall stack stamped proudly Made in England, and my Fender and Gibson basses, declaring with equal pride, Made in USA. pass judgement

no one would want to part with this set with out a great deal of soul searching-beware all who are obsessed with great gear-like gold-or soon gas- the time to sell it-or buy it may soon be over. when people part with stuff like this it is only because of personal hardship, I now wish i had been able to sell my own stuff before now-but the market value just went too low for me to let it all go !

Sometimes it's hardship, David, and perhaps even most of the time. But I guess in times of hardship it's good to have possessions that can ultimately help us out when we're in a jam, vs. not have those possessions. Norm said a couple came in with those pieces. Maybe it was the original owners, but maybe it's one of the owner's adult kids and spouse who want to part with dad's valuable stuff now that he's gone and put it toward a house, or their kid's education, or something like that. We just don't know.
