My grandfather owned the exact Walnut finish that he mentioned at the beginning, and the guitar was bought and manufactured in the year my mother was born, 1968. It was his go-to guitar for any gig from then on. Played it so much, there was a sweat mark on the body from how much he couldn't put it down. When my mother was kicked out of her childhood home, (before graduation of high school), she was given it, for different reasons. 1. If she decided she wanted to learn to play, it'd be a fantastic guitar to learn on. 2. Investment. My Mom never knew what he spent on it, but he onew it'd be worth something. (Out of curiosity, Mom took it to an appraiser, he estimated about $5k in 1995) Years later, when my Mother moved in with my Father, (from an abusive ex), my father took interest in it. Before anything could happen, their apartment was broken into, and the guitar was the only thing that was stolen from them, and my parents suspected a family member that had knowledge of the value of the instrument. Now, to me. I received my grandfather's acoustic guitar, a Fender. Not sure what model. I've always wanted to play, but my parents thought I wouldnt stick with guitar playing. Now, 1½ months later, I've got gear, my Grandfather's amp, 2 electric bought with my own money, and I'm learning something every day. Hoping to one day play on the sam guitar my grandfather had. I was 9 when he passed. I am 22 now. My mother hears and sees me play, and she says that he would be so proud. He had a natural talent, couldn't read a note on sheet music, but you tell him to listen to a song, and 10 minutes later, he could play it by ear. I never quite got to experience that, but needless to say i dont have that talent 😂

I love his playing. I own a expensive semi hollow not made anymore. It has a Bigsby. And looks like The Back To The Future semi hollow. I love that Gibson. Pickups are all right for being that old. I would have never thought I would learn to play the guitar and have a used expensive new semi hollow. Like Roy Clark. Glen Campbell, Charlie Pride, Country singers, rock singers, Chuck Barry etcc.. I could still pinch myself. Lemmy is so great at playing the guitar.
