The whole card is full of babyfaces Sulli and Jon are the beloved tag team Blair is deep into internet lore and all around loveable Adam is that pure charismaball jumping around Rosie and Brooke are the two newcomers kinda like og Bayley and Sasha Pete just laughts all the time Just Laurie has heel potential, when he ramps up the quantity of sarcasm and sharpshooting Oli is that jobber that gets squashed in all competitions but never gives up, perfect underdog Luke is that dull but loveable "put in the hours and harvest your rewards" babyface Isaac is the mastermind of the last BotC, figuring out everything without using his powers, impressing audiences by sheer quality "in-ring work"

The issue with the Dobbins or Bobbins scoring system isn't that the host had more avenues to score, it's that his avenues were superior. There were six other people to guess his horse rather than five for the players and while each person had a 1 in 8 chance of guessing correctly, there was a 6 in 8 chance of at least one player guessing the horse (or a 2 in 8 chance that no one would). Therefore Adam probably should've just gotten comparatively fewer points. This would've been a better system: Players: Correct Guess - 10 points Bonus - 3 points Host: No One Guesses - 5 points Bonus - 2 points It's not perfect but the math doesn't perfectly align with the rewards as the odds would dictate

What amused me most is someone in the comments said Jon had named a real horse in a round, so I did a search for the rounds on the Racing Post website, and it turned out that he had invented a real name in 5 out of 6 rounds. That makes the game somewhat wonky for me, because how then should the players who picked Jon's horses be scored? By the terms of the question are those players also picking a correct name?

@@ishoottheyscore8970 Yea that's quite a problem considering the objective of the game. If it was a one time occurrence then I would probably ignore it and treat his like any other entry but at a certain point you're just punishing his opponents for having legitimately good intuition.

@@ShiivaWilding i agree. I mean it’d be kind of unfeasible to get at least 6-8 in one location weekly for BGC, this seems like the best way to keep the schedule they have going. Plus they have some people like Brooke now who live in America, which I don’t see working in person lol

Only thing is that some of them do live outside London, so it would still be unfeasible for all the same people to meet up in person.

Shame that this group doesn't know how to properly score Telestrations. "Guessers earn 1 point if their guess matches the secret word OR PREVIOUS GUESS." and "Sketchers earn 1 point if their sketch helps a guesser make a match." So later in the chain, guessers do NOT have to guess the first word for points to score, guessing the word(s) that the sketcher was given is good enough for a point, and if they get a point so does the sketcher.

Oh god, I have a flat mouse and a bread mouse story. When I was growing up I used to live opposite a field and we kept chickens etc so we had an issue with mice. One day I walked out of my room, barefoot, and a baby mouse run under my foot and yeah..., then on another day I had gotten up, half asleep, put some toaster in the toaster and put it on only to suddenly hear the most unholy noise come from the toaster, I quickly turned off the toaster and a mouse runs out of it and had a very black back. We threw out the toaster and just used the grill from then on.
