North and South 'Mad World'

Its been a while since I`ve done an N&S video so here`s my latest one!
I really loved American Idol runner up Adam Lambert`s version of 'Mad World' and I thought it would go well with this fandom.
The video basically revolves around John Thornton`s struggle with his mill workers and gaining his true love.
There was nothing much I could do with this video - but whats important is the atmosphere of the song which I hope comes through with the clips :)

This is so beautiful Val. It really is. I've always loved this song but Adams version of it brings it to another level, making it beautifully sombre and serene. The slow feel to the song plas beautifully along with your pictures of an angry mob. Nice touch at the refrain; "The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" where you put a close-up right next to a cross with him walking in a cemetary. Very nice touch indeed ;P U are on the favs now lady!

I also am a fan of Adam Lambert and his version of this song....but I've never thought it more beautiful than now...coupled with these gorgeous clips, so beautifully edited, of North and South. Bravo!!

This is my favorite of all your videos I've seen. The editing was superb. I was surprised that the video focused a lot more than usual on the plight of the working class rather than the tension between Thornton and Margaret. One of the most poignant parts of the video was the very end: the idea that Margaret's flowering world of Helstone is the escape from a harrowing existence. In the future, I think I will always associate this version of "Mad World" with N&S because of this video.

Oh Val,this actually made me all teary...so many emotions and we can feel so well his struggle in that mad world! So beautiful made and sensitive,and the clips just matched perfectly with the lyrics and with the emotions that the music gave us! I loved this version of the song also. 1:28 - 1:49 was perfect! I always love when you freeze the clip like where Thornton was walking then the clip stopped in black and white. Beautiful. :) saved to my North and South playlist.
