Let me share an experience.. being born and raised in kerala I thought that's how the whole India is like just green lush n tropical n theres nothing great about it ,until few months ago I went to Indore MP and I was suffocating because it was almost like a desert , dry n dusty .. Yup, we cannot imagine omelets without pepper powder. In almost every Kerala homes, we have pepper plants called "Kurumulaku Valli". And people collected pepper and dried it to use in food.

Hello Akarshitha, Take your brother from Thrissur to Sree Krishna Temple at Guruvayur. There is a dedicated Counter on the southern Nada of the temple, buy a ticket costing Rs 1,000/- for Ghee Lamp and he can get admission without standing in Queue. There also men have to remove their Shirts and Banians. Preferred to avoid Pants/Pyjamas. You can avoid removing pants by wearing Dhothy over the pants/pyjamas hiding pants/pyjamas. You will definitely feel special energy inside the temple.

Kerala remains beautiful and clean because the locals take care of their environment and take pains to keep their surroundings clean too. Public transport vehicles are washed and clean always. Also I've seen shopkeepers sweeping the even the road in front of their shops. People don't wait for others to come and clean. This generally doesn't happen in the north. And also people don't spit on the roads in Kerala.

KSRTC drivers or conductors most of them - minimum graduate or post graduate or professionally qualified as BE or few of them have PhD as well. Not limited with university qualification but obtained through very difficult exams & interviews work very hard 8-12-16hrs with much responsibility. Unfortunately if they would have worked outside India they might get at least IRS. 15-35 lakhs yearly same job or better jobs. Aakarshita asked why Keralites prefer to work outside - those KSRTC employees don't get their salary even today for the last month or so.

Kerala has tropical climate and we were not wearing any shirts or blouse. Minimum 2 days we take bath. You can understand removing shirts inside temples

Kerala temples are more organized and relatively less corrupt. I feel very sad when grand temples of our neighbouring states, 10times the size of Kerala temples charge 300+ Rs for darshan. And u cant not choose to pay bcs free darshan means unnecessarily doing 10 to and fro queue lines. I think the crowd in free darshan queues are purposefully created by poor crowd management to increase revenue from special darshan. Temples in many places have become business models and have lost the spirit of devotion and inner elevation.

Nagaswaram and Thavil are primarily played whenever there is an auspicious event like wedding across South India. In temples of Kerala, its played during the pooja time when the sanctum will be closed for a brief duration and then opened. The second one is known as "koodiyattam" which is story narration based on Indian mythology. The percussion instrument used there is known as "Mizhavu". You should visit all the famous temples in Kerala... each temple has its own unique customs. The festival season of temples begin in January and that's the real feast of tradition, temple music and colors... Ive seen most of the vloggers concentrating on places like munnar kumarakom etc with all that sea good and non veg delicacies. That's only one part of the Kerala story. I think they should concentrate more on the tradition and culture of Kerala

Removing shirt while entering inner part of the temple ....... as far as I know, all are equal before the deity, let it be king or a poor man. When you remove your upper clothes and just stand in a simple white dhothi/mundu, everyone looks the same. And while doing so you also surrender your ego. Same is with shaving off your head in the temple, more than a ritual, its your complete surrender of your ego.....
