I love how this turns what we in America consider "unhealyhy" upside down. Its unhealthy to us because we can eat it in excess, but she mentioned how everyone in the south must be so tall from eating this much meat! The nutrition is good for you if you are hungry as in NK 😥❤

Indeed, with all things considered, if one weighed 100.lbs in the USA, you are considered healthy, if one weighed 100 lbs in N.Korea, you are considered malnourished.

@@MrXyzasdf 100's an absurdly low number, and malnourishment is universal... but in terms of relevance in weight, I get what you mean! A lighter person in NK is underweight, a lighter person in the US is lean and healthier

We all the same, we can't say someone are bad just cause they're from somewhere. Just because people are from america doesn't mean they're arrogant and prideful, just because they're chinese doesn't mean they eat dog etc. In the end we all have our individuality

No matter where we look, we will always find the same thing, people just being people. While people get overshadowed by their government's actions, it's always important to remember that every nation has good people just trying to make a living for themselves and their families.

I have a lot of respect for her. She’s mentioned that she had to spend time in prison, so her life hasn’t been easy but she has a good attitude.

@John Smith "Nobody can make you do anything" thats where youre wrong, if every soldiers follow their hearts wouldnt they even be effective in combat ? The soldiers might dont even want to fight but authority is alot of times stronger than your hearts will. Theyre also threaten to stay loyal so if everyone cant be forced to do anything then why blackmailing still exist today ?

I wish north korean people will be free and experience normal life that they deserve everyone of us have different wants and needs in life all of us do our best just to get that but remember that we shouldn't remove other people's rights as human just to get the things we want in life.We all are the same in God's eyes. We should help each other and don't put others in lowest just to be in the highest you may get what you want but you will come to the point of your life that makes you realize how much lives you've been sacrifice and wasted to be in the things you wanted and realize that you missed the most important thing in life. To Act human and be human you don't need to use other people for your own benefit. Change the course use yourself to bring benefit to other people. People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. Treat other people the way you want others treat you. If you have a chance to help someone and makes them happy do it. We need more of that in this world.

I wish at least they have decent food, house, sanitation and school. I believe that they'll have a good life even in communism/socialism, when there is no corruption. (Communism/socialism as in they do everything together and share everything they need, without social class, brainwashing, and human right abuse)

I don't have time to deep dive into every person that is enjoyable to watch in the occasional 8 minute video. So yes, I think she's great in the same sense that I like actors and other celebrities that I do not know personally :)

When I went to the U.S. in 2016 and 2019, all the accommodation I stayed in was Virginia. I always remember you leaving nice comments and I really want to get your suggestion. I'm a soldier, so I like shooting and hunting like you. But my heart is young because of my poor health. It's my pleasure.

I am so sorry, the US bombed Cambodia. Khemer people are so lovely and the country is stunning. I when there first right after the US invaded Iraq, my thoughts ran to what was going to happen to those people too. It seems Syria Afganistan and Iraq are this generations of US mess. I really appreciate these videos. Here in America typically the only time we see something about North Korea is when it's very, very negative. I appreciate being able to hear these things firsthand without a political spin put on it. That being said, there are so many emotions from watching these. Joy from seeing North Koreans being able to experience being free, heartbreak at what is truly happening there, and anger that more isn't being done about it. Thank you for this series.

I have to say, I absolutely love this channel! It is such a delight to hear and see my North Korean brothers and sisters! Many in the west have wanted to share and learn from them, but historically we are not allowed this. This channel is going a long way to share the North Korean people with the rest of the world. So glad you are enjoying the news foods, and also all the comments! Just to clarify, the plain fried chicken's salty taste isn;t actually just salt. The onion powder and the special kind of white pepper they use also give a little of that salty type of flavor.

I just love her enthusiasm so much! She is loving her opportunity to try new things and just smiles and laughs and is so much fun to watch her voice inflictions as she races from astonishment to joy to savoring what she’s doing. I can’t get enough of listening to her!

Seeing her comment about touring southern USA makes me think about how many southern grandmas would ADORE having such a guest at their table!!! Someone so excited to enjoy all the good food and good times chatting with everyone would definitely be incredibly welcome with most southern folks. I know my family down there would be super excited and it would turn into a mission to cook all the best of foods for her.

I really respect Kim Jung Ah not only because she's a soldier but because she likes our american food.I wish they had a KFC there for all the Koreans to enjoy.We also have McDonald's,Burger King & Taco Bell..If she wants to try those different kinds of american foods.Thank you for trying our food,I'm glad you like it!!

I love her so much. She is always so kind and thoughtful and appreciative of everything. She's a very good person and I respect her. She is very sweet and has a upbeat, positive outlook on life and humanity. It's really refreshing to watch her and listen to how she views things compared to how we may view things.. I catch myself thinking about things and how the world is getting worse and worse, but I see videos like this.. Someone so grateful and happy about chicken. Lol makes me have hope for people again. I love her stories and reactions. It's so sweet watching her doing, trying or seeing something for the first time. Then I get sad because it's just everyday things that we take for granted. We here in America are very straightforward, direct and blunt people it is why a lot of people from other countries think we are rude (we share these trait to some extent with the scottish and Australians they can also be a straightforward, direct and blunt people, it is part of why we get along as well as we do with them). And that is why we find your direct way of speaking/communicating trustworthy and not really rude. We have our own vision of "beating around the bush" (we can be coy when we want to be and we do sometimes lie to spare someone's feelings) but in general we say what we mean (though not necessarily in a rude way) and mean what we say and find people that talk indirectly too much (we don't mind some indirect talk but when it is most or all of what you do it is too much) suspicious and untrustworthy. So we don't mind direct or blunt people and in fact find direct/blunt people more trustworthy and we respect trustworthiness over politeness. We will almost (almost) trust an enemy that says the truth right to our face then a friend that lies to us too much even if only on small things (if it is about big things are they really a friend at all to begin with?).

This lady's enthusiasm is almost heart-warming. I wonder what her rank was in the North Korean army. I think she looks a little too young to have been a captain, but maybe a tad too old to still be a first lieutenant. Anyway, I love her sheer joy over a simple piece of fried chicken. Great video!
