Very nice vlog! I was a bit nervous watching Anthony jumping off and on the boat, especially on, worried he'd fall in! Thankfully he didn't. A white squirrel .I have black one here and a white black bird as well . And for a time in the autumn we get black grouse . With some people still say no not in the South West. Until i show them the photos .

So striking to come out of that sharp turn under the bridge into the middle of a neighborhood with a dark tunnel in the middle of it! And then the rather magical trip through the tunnel (especially when you turned on the lights for Dexter and then there was your living room moving through the tunnel!). And then out of the tunnel and into the countryside once again. Quite a magical mystery tour. Have a lovely week!

I have had a very busy day and with my sore gardening back and a cuppa I sat down and watched your wonderful vlog for this week, it was fabulous! It is so lovely to see you having some nice Spring weather at last and all the birds getting in nesting mode, the woodpeckers have been busy hammering our trees here too. That narrow low tunnel you went through was nerve wracking and that very tight corner under that bridge, yikes, I know that my sight isn’t good enough to do a wonderful job like you do Anthony! I am just under five foot tall so I wouel have a hard time even seeing and judging where I was steering with your lovely narrowboat. I love your Day Van Anthony what a neat awesome everything you need day or night van it is, I would love one of those to go exploring in like Heidi and Sandra have been doing in their vans. No matter what age you are, it’s exciting going through a tunnel. 😅 I stayed in a lodge in a beautiful orchard in Bridgwater about a hundred years ago. I remember some nice pub lunches with a glass of draught cider. 🍲 Favourite sweet - Cinnamon Balls and Fireside Toffee. Morrisons do great Fireside Toffee lollipops near Halloween time.

It looks really different to see the lights on in the boat through the skylight while in the tunnel. I’ve seen lots of boats go through in total darkness , yours was less creepy😂🤣. Thanks for the van tour, it’s a nice layout, but yes, a shower and loo would be helpful. Not much new here this week, rain, wind, a few snow flurries and even a bit of sun. They say about our weather, if you don’t like it just wait an hour and it’ll change. We’re quite lucky really, unless it’s a Nor’easter we are more apt to get rain as we’re right on the coast but in a sheltered cove tucked behind a small island. If it’s a Nor’easter we get belted by snow and high winds🥶. Spring is starting to poke its head out but we’ll probably get at least one more snow storm. There, weather report complete😂. I’m glad Dexter is feeling better, the weather really affects my arthritis, I can tell when bad weather is coming a day or so before it does🙁. Take care, be safe, have fun, enjoy life🥰🙋🏼‍♀️

Hello Guys, another very pleasurable to watch video. An added dimension this time was watching you do what we did two weeks ago! We are now in our rented home in Huddersfield with our boat two full days away secure in a Wharf. (We are waiting for the river Calder to calm down.) We did watch your two old helmsman videos and you do mention that the first night aboard was 'interesting'. Our first two weeks aboard our boat was amazing. In this video you mention that you have been doing this for four years. Amazing. We chatted at length, yesterday, to a man who has been doing this 12 years. He wished that he had started sooner. Amazing. We haven't quite got into the rhythm of our boat or the canals but we do like the rhythm. It is really hard for me to describe this rhythm. You two do a great job capturing it. Hello Paul, Anthony and Dexter-Dog. What a lovely day at the start of the Vlog. How cute Dexter looked when Paul helped him onto the boat. Anthony looked really cold, despite the Sunshine. Interesting how Anthony walked to the bow of the boat and jumps off whilst the boat is moving and then walked back. Is it easier to jump off at the bow rather than the stern when the boat is moving? Why not just stop the boat? Paul gave a great narration as he cruised along I’m impressed with your Van layout Anthony. It looks very nice. I liked the way Anthony jumped back onto the boat, Anthony is Mr Action-man this week. Very impressive. What made me smile was that Paul at first never slowed down for Anthony. Paul explains what he is doing by filling up with water which was very interesting. Very glad Dexter is doing so well with his medicine. 200 Watts of Solar is excellent this time of year, do you know what to expect during Peak Summer?. That’s great that the boat is working a lot better now. Anthony did you get any Liquorice at the Sweet Boat, I seem to remember you liked them from a previous Vlog? Anthony, you took down the stern covers with great ease. Interesting info on the Bridgewater canal. Some lovely bird-song. Nice sharp starbored turn, well executed. Was that tunnel lower than normal. Hey Spoolbox. Dexter is a sweet boy bless him. I was freezing 😂. It is easier to get off the boat whilst it is slowly moving and better at the bow as you can gauge when to jump better. Paul wasn’t for slowing down for me to get on the boat 😂. Dexter really is doing well on his meds. We have been getting 400W of solar so hoping to I be getting 700-1kW of solar during summer. I did get licorice. My absolute favourite. Stern covers are easy to take down. Love the Bridgewater the bird song has been incredible. Love the woodpecker. Tunnel wasn’t too bad. One did have a kink in it which can easily fool you. Have a great week ❤️

Was lovely to see an area again where we have cruised. Hadnt seen your van before Anthony, it is well set out and has most things you need. Can understand a campervan with shower and toilet but the cost has to be balanced with what else you need to do. Agree, I always feel the boat is going very fast when I get back on, wereas the steerer says its going very slow. Sweets, no favourite, its what I see and when in all the jars its so difficult to choose. Lovely vlog and nice to see all three of you staring this week :) Have a good one you three xxx

What a stunning cruise. So lovely to see more people out and about. Great van too so many people doing these conversions of vans now. Great idea and I’d imagine lots cheaper too and more personal. I’d be petrified of crashing in the tunnel. Look’s so tight. Dots also on Amantadine tablets for her arthritis pain and these have also worked wonders too. We are currently having an independent electrician look at the boat and he thinks he can help the efficiency. I have had a look at a couple of vans recently but think they may be too big as my main vehicle, so back to the drawing board. I do hope the weather continues to improve. aaaaahh memories - happy happy memories. Really our old stomping grounds. Apart from the 3 new marinas on the flashes its all the same as when we were there 12 years ago. Still miss it soooo much . Services right by the bridge to our old marina . The boat is still moored there. The owners live I Trinidad and come over from April to September every year. boat name NB Mactras Filia . Always hated Barnton Tunnel but the other 2 didn't bother me too much as they were timed. Barnton not straight

Hi guys and the amazing Dexter! What smashing weather you had for this weeks cruise!!! Spring has come for us here in Florida with all the oak trees and the green pollen/leaves just as bright green as you can image. Hopefully you guys are close to the start of Spring. Great looking van guys! Fingers crossed things are looking better for you regarding diesel usage. We did hear the wood pecker and other birdsong along the whole cruise. Just amazing what you can hear with such a quiet electric motor. I absolutely love sour jellies, Deans loves bonbons. However I like making my own truffles, many different flavors added. Hey guys. We really did have great weather, unfortunately, we are back to rain 😔. Love oak trees. Definitely my favourite. The van definitely suits our needs but we have been looking at one with a shower and toilet as a replacement. Not sure the diesel usage is any better, although we have an independent electrician on the case. Love the bird songs you can hear too. Love anything sour. My favourite has to be Jelly Belly jellybeans. Mmm love a good truffle too. Hope you guys are keeping well and Greta is doing ok. Love from us all ❤️

Thanks Kathy. We have been looking at alternatives to the van that incorporates a shower and toilet but so far, they all seem too cumbersome for an everyday vehicle. 😂. We wondered where that noise was coming from too. Dexter has had a hair cut today on the tow path. Bless him. I am definitely still keeping up with my fitness regime. Hey Julie. We can only do it when the tank has been fillled and then we have to adjust the gauge screw to show the tank is full, after that, the gauge should self calibrate ❤️

@@NarrowboatLifeUnlocked Two outfits have boats in water as we type. An item in latest Tillergraph if you can find one. The other outfit has an external storage box on the roof so no hydrogen inboard. Gas is stored in two G20 bottles. The quoted price is just about £8k ... but details a tad hazy on what that covers though. A third outfit is producing "naked" fuel cells for any purpose and not just boats. Would suggest fuel cell conversions or new builds are not that far away. The resident engineer on yard where I moor reckons hydrogen fuel cells are "way to go" ... although he is happy to wait for others to do it first 🤣 Will predict we see some items in the glossy canal mags before too long. Will be interested to learn how you cope with recharging your lithiums on our canals when using the panels. .

Might want to consider little gold jewelry on days of filming.
