A strong high pressure will build in for the 4th of July week in Northern California. High temps will be in the 105-112° range. Plus, north winds & low RH lead to critical fire danger.

As a reminder during this extreme heat, keep an eye out for stray dogs and cats. If possible get them and bring them to a shelter so they can get out of the heat and have water and food. Or give them something to drink and out it in the shade nearby. Many animals die during this heat. I've made boxes to leave in random places that have holes for air to circulate. Then I'll put food and water in the box or right outside it. We gotta look after these animals cause they need our help.

Oh, and long sleeves, long pants, *double* layered the whole time. So much for that "heat advisory" nonsense.

Boy, the electricity cost in July will be really high, unfortunately due to persistent heat. No delta breeze for a while, unfortunately after Monday. It is possible that even San Francisco could be hot depending on the position and strength of high pressure. The immediate coast may be warm also if offshore flow does reach there.

Get used to it California. When you get your way and everyone drives an electric vehicle and the grid and the actual generating facilities can't handle it, you will be the ambient temperature. It's summer. In winter you are going to be cold. The fire problem is your fault. Allow underbrush burns when safe, allow property to be cleared removing the fuel for these fires.
