We had a couple of magnificent Auroras were i live (Sweden) in January and February and I live in central Sweden out in the countryside so no light pollution. It was amazing. Thank you yet again for a very interesting scientific, educational, beautifully filmed episode.

Do not underestimate the wildlife encounters! I too came upon a Moose cow and her calf, while on a highway just outside of Fairbanks. And while I was in downtown Anchorage, a bull moose was just on the other side of a large bay window, at the hotel I was staying, licking at the glass. Perhaps he was thinking that he was able to eat the floral display that he saw looking through the window. Even though I was there for three weeks, I never saw the Aurora Borealis. This was in the month of October, but in fairness I was usually sleeping during the night. You haven't abandoned tornado chasing, have you Michael?

There is some but typically you won't see the good red stuff way up north on weaker displays (like you would in the lower 48)
