Could you please explain the part ''you must have lived in the Northern Territory for six months and worked in your skilled occupation or related field for at least six months.'' in detail? I recently came to Darwin and will be having student visa and trying to look for a job in a child care setting(I have Diploma and have 4years experience but failed to apply for 189 since my previous employer didn't give me payslips on time and couldn't get the TRA assessment to prove I have one year experience as a full-time worker), since I will be a student, my eligibility for work is 20 hours per week, so if I would like to satisfy this ''at least six months '' part by having a student visa, do I need to work for a year since they provably meant the ''six months work'' as a full-time?

Hi, I graduated in Australia as a radiographer (NSW), I am working at a public hospital in the NT on a 407 visa. I have a job offer at the end of this 407 visa. Will I be able to apply for a TSS482 visa only having 1 years experience. The business are willing to sponsor/nominate me under the DAMA agreement. I am over the age for PR. I am not looking for PR I just want to continue working in my current occupation. Will this be possible or do I need to have the 2 years work experience.

Hi Sir Nicholas, I would like to know about couples trying to apply a work permanent visa for exemple my wife wants to apply she already has experience in some areas that are being required and also she already has the pontuation enough on IELTS test. If my wife get a work permanent visa could I join to her and get any permission to live with her in Australia? Hi i have 2 and a half years experience as a fibrous plasterer but no qualification, i also have over 2 years experience working as an electricians mate but again no qualification, is this a viable route for me to go down? my english skills are good as im from england and left school with good grades. I understand that my lack of qualifications leaves me limited on what visas i can apply for but i have plenty of experience?

Hi Charlie, for the migration process qualifications are very important. With the information that you have provided, I don't think that you would any permanent skilled options. These conditions are very stringent, nothing much has changed, Immigration agents are not clear on all requirements, it seems they are trying to make money. It is clear that the visa requirements are still the same in all AU territories.It is quite ridiculous to test professional applicants from English speaking countries, on English proficiency. Much of the requirements are unneccessary
