13:31 Devotion from a random enemy fight is like a dream come true when I play as Watcher, really hope Ryan tries to pick up some mantra runs in upcoming videos. An upgraded devotion just needs one Prostrate or pray and you'll be having triple damage every 2-3, maybe 4, turns. Just get two other mantra builders and it's basically triple damage every other turn, fantastic when paired with retain cards like Sands of Time and Windmill Strike, or multi-hits like Ragnarok. Plus there's no worry about having the energy to play them since you just get 3 extra energy when you enter divinity.

His takeaway from the first run tanking being that Scrawl isn't very good is painful, I love to have a scrawl. Works in most every deck type and just lets you get out win condition powers/skills like early Prays, Devotions, etc, makes a turn where you couldn't get lethal potentially into a lethal turn, or gets you out of a turn of bad draw. When it's upgraded it is basically just always good to have, it's only a positive(except buffing Gremlin Nob and upping Time Keeper's counter, I guess) Still love the resurgence of Spire content though, especially seeing you play the Watcher since it's probably my favorite character along with the Silent. Keep up the great vids Ryan

He specifically said that it's not great *early*, which is true when it's just helping you draw more strikes and defends
@Chaosinthesky133 жыл бұрын
@@rosemarygrant6424 I still find it great early personally for when you just need one more strike/eruption for lethal, or if you have one of those awful turns where you only draw strikes but need to defend or vice versa. It's definitely a better card the deeper in the run you get though, that's fair, I just never see a reason to not take it no matter the timing.

@shotgunshelz79873 жыл бұрын
Pressure points is not good because it is the only card with the effect. Even at common, it's bad to rely on a single card to appear later in the run, other builds just work more often because they have more opportunists to gain synergy (Mantra has 1 common, 2 uncommon and 2 rare cards + a common relic, and it's a "sparse build") Artifact counters it, there's no relic synergizes, it's generally slow, and even in best case scenario, the scaling is not as good as other, easier to get deck builds.
