The Adjudicator? S-tier ship. The only minor gripe is that it starts with the five bars of power and the rest are made by your crew. But it starts with 1 of the FTL Holy Trinity weapons, the Halbeard, and the best augment in vanilla FTL, the Zoltan shield. I win with this ship a lot. I think you may be under-rating the Drone system. A humble defence drone is a very good way to avoid missiles harming you, and sometimes with some luck it can shoot down 2 missiles from the burst the flagship fires. It is of course a bit less relevant when you have the Zoltan supershield, but in general it is very good.
