Btw, info on Panic Button. Panic Button *AUTOMATICALLY* activates your active item before getting hit, that with book of shadows means you LITERALLY get a better holy mantle. If you ever see it with an invincibility item 100% take it.

One of the very (very) few upsides to Tainted Laz is that if you enter item rooms with one of them, and start floors with the other, you are essentially guaranteed to get Planetariums. Since it generates a floor based on the items/state of the one that enters it, this also means you can potentially get two planetariums per run as well if you swap the order once the first planetarium shows up.

After getting one planetarium your chance to get another is permanently set to 1%, and that cannot be modified by anything other than Telescope Lens so there is no reason to swap

As someone who is 23 NL I can tell you that we did use a dictionary by hand when I was in middle and grade school, the follow up questions answer is that we never retained the information used because the school system is awful in America, anyway great episode!

Someone should acknowledge how fair NL's completion will be. I saw how many creators took the easy way out via co-op, where each of the players is allowed to die several times, since they resurrect if their teammate manages to beat the boss fight of the floor, AND you take all the achievements for you character and your teammate's character. I really wonder how long it would've taken for some of them to complete the game.

Dictionary was usefull when i wasn't home till i got a touchscreen phone that can use internet which was around 2010. Now almost 24 and i still find myself looking up words i don't know or just out of sheer curiosity what language the word comes from. Physical dictionaries are redundant now, but it did instill a habit of searching up stuff.

I did learn to use the dictionary by hand, especially when learning foreign languages. Not to attached to using it/ learning cursive etc. though, as an engineer student, learning long division and multiplication tables by hand is actually useful. not so much to do it by hand, but to calc it in your mind. Sometimes it is faster to divide something in your head than pull up a calculator on your 3+ year windows laptop

As someone in the age category you asked for, we were not explicitly thought how to look up words in the dictionary but there were quite a few in class if you needed it for spelling guidance for English so you kind of just learnt how to use them. Also for antiquated knowledge as the eldest of my siblings I learnt cursive writing which none of my younger siblings did so one of the last in the generation. As the justification was you were going to HAVE to use it for college writing down notes or what ever and printing wasn't fast enough. I wrote this before he also went on a rant on cursive F.
