Good to know Im not the only one screaming at the screen when he makes a mistake or actually feeling his pain when he dies. And then getting a weird feeling of glee when he does well.

I know this is an old post but I'll throw out what I've noticed while watching these. He seems to have this idea that if an enemy enters his general area of existence that it's a threat and is going to be the cause of a Rube Goldberg cascade of despair. So he eliminates everything, regardless of if it actually has any actual impact on him.

Ryan, if you get an IDOL (on the Mines), you have a decent amount of time to either touch the exit with the Idol or just sell it to a Shop Keeper, and if you manage to do either of those things before the Indiana Jones Rock falls, it will not appear at all.

Yama is the harder ending. Technically gold = score, so when you score attack it's a balance between buying the things you want to ensure reaching the end (which gives you a score bonus) and saving your money. When you're first playing you probably don't care though and just want to beat the game.

Northenlion, this is just a brisk comment, but I feel that you shouldn't be so afraid of Mines idols. Most of the time, it's easy enough to dislodge them out from their two-block stone pedestal with one bomb, and without any repercussions. That and also there's a fair number of times where a boulder can make room for more moneymaking, especially after getting the Udjat Eye.

When you stick a bomb on a shopkeeper's face and he runs into a wall, it will instantly detonate. This is true any time a bomb is pressed against a surface

Well, it's not a switch he can turn on and off. Sometimes you do poorly, other times you do godly. Are you asking him to use his NLSS runs as his LP episodes? That would be boring because they'll be episodes most of us have seen, not to mention he uploads his streams anyway. You're also asking him to post more, but we already get one episode per day. Asking him to post more per day would increase his work load. Don't forget he does much more than Spelunky. How much gaming can a man do per day?!

But is highscore the important part? Is the game geared toward competitive score ranking type stuff? Like if the scoreboard didnt exist people would just buy everything to help them beat the game? Idk, it seems like the scoreboard changes the way everyone plays cause the gold is more important than winning the game? Idk. seems weird to me. its like a game within a game and unless youre super good or lucky you cant win both?
