Yes Isnt He wonderful? I’ve thought about this quite a bit lately since I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. I was afraid but then I realized, there is a place prepared for me in Heaven. Eternal life that was bought and paid for by Jesus. How much I am loved and I’ve done nothing to earn it. I’m not going to lie and say I am completely fine with dying but that’s just the human side of me wanting to stay here on earth. I’m sure I will look back and think how peaceful and simple it is to just let go.

First of all, I LOVE carnelian. It is one of my absolute favorite stones. So gorgeous! And I'm so jealous you can just go down to the beach and find them on the ground all over the place!! Wow wow wow my cousin lives in Thrumster so I literally just texted him to see if he had ever been to Spittal Beach as what a gorgeous beach - he always collecting me unusual rocks because of their bandings. A rock hound here, I just love Carnelian. I rejoice every time I have found them in the rivers of Oregon and Washington. I love agates as well, my favorite. The oranges and reds are my favs. I love every piece of jewelry you make Gail. This ring turned out so pretty. There are silicon and rubber finger guard thimble thingy's you could protect your fingers with whilst filing and sanding. Thanks for sharing!-C-

Tara Hansen yes, you can find them in most of the coastal streams and beaches here in Washington and in Oregon. It’s just a matter of looking. I was camping earlier this year and was able to find lots of them along the beaches in Long Beach and Westport, Wa, and in Warrenton, Or.

Lovely work on the stones and ring ladies. may i suggest a wooden dowel glued to the stones? frequently used here in OZ for opals dopping wax is a must have but you could also use five minute epoxy, superglue,E6000, etc. This dowel being around 4-6 inches allows you to twirl your stone without grinding flesh away. Could be any size really, depends on the stone, i have used matchsticks. Removing glue or wax can be done by placing the item in your freezer, then gently pry apart.

Have you ever considered getting a rock tumbler (rock polishing machine)? They will make any kind of stone have a high mirror shine. When I was little, my family & I would go to the beach & collect agates too. My dad would then run them through the tumbler & we made a few bit of jewelry, but we never took the time to file them down or put bead holes in them. You would love a rock tumbler, they are amazing. Nice work on the ring & bead! They're so pretty.
