Hello everyone! A few of you have asked where we are. This is the county of Durham in the North Pennines, England. If you want to go looking for these crystals (and many other minerals too!) you can visit the Killhope Lead Mining museum in the Summer months, there is lots to explore and you could even take a tour down one of the mines! www.killhope.org.uk/

Ohhhhhhhhhh, this was just lovely! My mom used to take us to an opal deposit about 25 miles from where we lived in the Mojave Desert in California. We went with buckets and any sort of digging instruments we could come by to look for fire opal treasure! It was loads of fun and the anticipation of possibly finding a beautiful gem was the best! This is awesome again- I’m from warrington myself and live in an old quarry (village called lymm) which has a load of history- from fossils and dinosaur footprints. A friend of mine has a Victorian rubbish pit in his back garden which we dig up- there are thousands of bottles and such which to us now are treasures, weird to think to them they meant nothing. I wonder if in 500 years, a plastic coke bottle would be treasure 😅 I bloody hope not

Aloha from Kauai! This video was from a year ago, but as s a new sub, I'm trying to catch up! I had never heard of this pretty glowing stone before, so looked up its uses. I guess it was mined for industrial reasons, helping with the process of "smelting." As a crystal, it is said to assist in; "easing tension headaches, enhances the immune 👍system, helps bones & teeth, eases arthritis, and aides in the treatment of bone marrow illnesses" It says it also helps to heal scars both emotional and physical. It goes on to say it can help with sore throats, ulcers, and stomach upsets and insomnia. Wow, all that, and its very pretty, both in the daytime, and at night!
