The Lexus interior designs are truely a masterpiece in terms of comfort and usability The reliability is just an additional plus for me.

This is the most comprehensive review I’ve ever seen. Im a car enthusiast and have both a 2019 Lexus RX Ultra Lux, as well other luxury models (Audi). Was trying to see if there was anything you may have missed in your detailed review, and must say, you got nearly everything and are very knowledgeable. Very nice!! I would only add a few items: - The center storage bin lid should swivel on both sides (Driver and Passenger side) - In addition to the radar and traffic recognition sensor behind the rear view mirror, the auto rain sensor for wipers are there too (so if your auto wipers are not working properly, that’s a good place to first check that it’s not dirty or blocked) - Your front windows and windshield are acoustic glass for noise reduction, as well as your wheels if you have that option - The windows also have jam safety feature where while rolling up automatically it detects any obstruction (like a hand or finger), the windows will automatically reverse down. (Test it with something soft like a wallet) - I didn’t see any power rear window shade?? Is this not available on the Ultra Lux ES? I know it’s available on the Limited Avalon.
@NorthsideLexus4 жыл бұрын
Hi GHN1013 Awesome ideas and great catch on the front arm rest! It does indeed open on both sides. (Insert face palm emoji here;) The rear door sunshades are an option on the ES, but are not always easy to get in our area. Unfortunately I didn't have access to a vehicle with them. They are a wonderful detail. This was the second full tutorial video I did after the virus changed how we teach our Guests at the dealership. I'll keep working on adding as many details as possible. Hopefully they will just get better and better. I'm so glad to be able to help so many people. Maybe KZbin will add a feature where I can add notes on the existing videos for things like the arm rest? That would be so cool! Thanks again!
@ONI1013.4 жыл бұрын
Northside Lexus - You can always add updated notes to your description section, and I think you can take your existing video and add pop up text notes (but I think you may have to add the text outside KZbin and re-upload). But keep up the great work. I really think it’s one of the best car video reviews out there.

Hi Christopher, Thanks for watching! If you have a power trunk it will be able to open and close form the key fob. There is not a close function on the key fob for a manual trunk, just the pop open feature. The key fob can be programmed at your Lexus Service Department to power open the windows and moon room, but there is not a power close feature from the fob. The Lexus App with Enform Remote will tell you if your windows or trunk are left open, but you can not open/close them from the phone app. Just unlock. I hope this is the info you needed. Thanks so much :)

Thanks so much for watching! You are spot on about the Touch Pad. It has come a long way in just a few generations. They are highly customizable in the Setup Menu. I like to turn the Feedback Force down to nothing, because I don't like the popping sensation. Some people love it though, because it indicates a clickable surface. Hi Triet, you can't remove a radio preset, just overwrite what is in that spot. Get your new station playing and then save it in the spot you want and it will replace the old saved station. For that year model only Apple CarPlay was available. Unfortunately that is not a retrofit for Android Auto in the US. 👍

I know older Lexus like the ES330 had a calendar, service menu and maybe even notes 😂 Does this have those features?
@NorthsideLexus3 жыл бұрын
Hi Luxur Review, the calendar feature is no longer on the vehicle since most Lexus vehicles have Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration and the calendar app on the phone can be operated by your phone's mobile assistant mor efficiently. There is still a service menu on the vehicle. It is more robust on NAV package cars, but most people prefer to us the Vehicle Health Report in the Lexus App. It is part of the Service Connect feature. The Notes feature is gone, but you can use your phone's assistant to make notes in your Notes app as well. Many of the older features like these have been replaced by more advanced phone capabilities :) Gott love technology!

Hi, I have 2015 NX200T and have 3 hates about it. The mouse control infotainment screen(so I never use it at all), the single reverse light and the unadjustable back and forth headrest. I like the new ES look, does it have those annoying things?
@NorthsideLexus4 жыл бұрын
Hi Danh, Sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying your 2015 NX. If you are comparing it to the 2020 ES it will be very different. Addressing your concerns: 1. They both use a touch pad to control the screen, but the new touch pad is much more customization, larger and easier to use. 2. The tails lights are completely different. 3. The ES headrests are manually adjustable up and down. I would recommend that you connect with a sales person to get more accurate information for your area. I am certified to teach Lexus technology, but I do not work with the builds of the vehicles. Thanks for watching. All the best :)

No worries. The Automatic high beams are controlled by pressing the button at the end of the headlamp stalk. Then move the stalk forward into the "high beam on" position and the car will control them automatically. Here's the section in the video for 15:36 Headlamp Controls to demonstrate. How can I turn off the “AIRBAG ON” sign in the right side of the screen? I mean the orange sign
@NorthsideLexus3 жыл бұрын
Hi Abdullrhman, There is not an accessible setting for turning that message off. A Technician at your Lexus dealership might be able to do it, but I'm sure there are legal and safety details about why they don't permit it. When it shows "Airbag Off" it means weight is not detected in the front passenger seat. When it shows "Airbag On" it means weight/a person is detected. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!

I read through the manual and there's no indication that it's customizable. Just 3 blinks and that's it. No other option. Is the customize feature new for 2020?

Hi @Jerry. The Lane Change setting is customizable at your Lexus dealership. It requires a Tech to use a computer to make this change. Hi, Daryoush, The Kick Sensor and Wheel Lock sets are available options and is not on all ESs. It would depend on the package that came on the vehicle you purchased. Hi! Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like your seat may need to be recalibrated. When you move the seat doe it beep while you are making the adjustment? Also, when you press "Set" and then the number do you hear one single beep? Here's how to do a recalibration. You are basically moving each possible position to the max in each direction. So for every possible adjustment go all the way that direction, hold for 3 seconds, go all the way the opposite direction, hold for three seconds. For example: go all the way forward, hold for 3 seconds, go all the back, hold for 3 seconds. Then repeat for all possible adjustments. I have also seen this document that does it differently. Hopefully one of these procedures will help: static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10145738-9999.pdf

I have a serious question about the gas mileage on the 2020 ES 350. I’ve had the car for about 4 months and my take only fills up to 12-12.4gal the MTE indicated 250mi-260mi max. Never has it past 300mi. I need answers because I took it to the dealership with my concern and their answer sounded like BS to me. Im filling up like every 4 days 🤨 and 90% of the time I am on Eco mode. Make it make sense to me.
@NorthsideLexus3 жыл бұрын
Hi Paulino. I'm happy to try to help. There are multiple factors with MPG. Here are some things to consider: 1. Did the car have a previous owner? The car has learned their octane rating history and their driving habits and it has adjusted to all of that information. 2. Even though the 2020 ES can use Regular fuel, I would do three tanks in a row of Premium (that's the fuel that is frequently used for testing in research for the numbers you see on the window sticker. (It will tell you in the Owner's Manual as well. If you need to double check it.) Three full tanks will give the learning components on the car time to reset to the new octane and your driving habits. Take notes about your current MPG. Then reset your MPG calculations in the MID so that the Average after Reset reads 0. Then you will be able to start fresh while you do your research. Typically using Premium fuel allows you to get more miles per tank. 3. If you press hard on the gas and fight the eco function of Eco mode you may be using even more gas than you realize. Consider changing to Normal mode and see if you that feels better to drive light on the gas and light on the brake. 4. Check your tire pressure. Proper tire inflation helps with fuel economy. 5. Extra cargo can add weight, which can reduce fuel economy as well. I hope this helps :)

@@VP48 I wish all of the customizations could be made in the vehicle. They keep adding more and more capabilities, but not all of them are there yet. All dealerships handle charging in different way. Usually if you are there for a regular service they won't charge extra to do this, but it may be different at your dealership. I can't speak to the practices at each store. Can you tell me what grade gas I should use for a 2020 ES300H? I know manual says 87 octane.
@NorthsideLexus4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kolohe! Yes, the ES is designed to use Regular fuel or 87 octane. The Owner's Manual notes that 95 octane was the research octane. So you can always use Premium fuel. It will end up giving you more miles per tank. If you change fuel, it is a good idea to give it three full tanks of fuel to allow the system to learn the new rating and adjust the calculations for you. Hope this helps.

a most helpful & informative video. this poured fuel on my lust. thanks for that! a couple questions/observations..... 1:50 ... Lexus has announced the ENFORM app is ending. they *HAVE NOT* announced any plans to rescue deserted Lexus owners. 30:30 *TPWS* is _not_ an acronym. an ACRONYM is an abbreviation which can be _pronounced_ as a word. such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving... MADD. TPWS is an abbreviation, but it cannot be pronounced as a word. therefore, it is NOT an acronym.
@NorthsideLexus4 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for watching and for the grammar lesson. Always happy to learn and have a good note. To correct you on your Enform update. The Enform App Suite 2.0 and the Lexus Enform Remote App content have been moved into the Lexus App. The compatible content is still there, but in a new location. Lexus owners will only need to have the one Lexus app instead of multiple apps. You are looking at a video that was made before those announcements. Videos made after the announcement have the newest information. This was also mentioned in the video about Apple Watches having issues syncing after the update.

@@NorthsideLexus , as of this minute, the Lexus site says Enform will cease to work 10/31/22. are you saying the Lexus app is the route for future?
@NorthsideLexus4 жыл бұрын
@@googoo-gjoob You are talking about the cellular companies shutting down 2 and 3G. That will impact Enform services on older model vehicles not the 2020 ES. It is a 4G vehicle. This shutdown will impact any device, including phone, cars, etc., that have DCMs and connected services that use 2 or 3G. It is beyond the control of Lexus and Toyota and there is not a hardware retrofit that is available. So two years from now those vehicles will not have the ability for Enform services that require a cellular connection. Since you were commenting about the Enform App on a video about the 2020 ES, I thought you were discussing the latest updates to the Enform app. It was not clear that you were pointing out the announcement about telecommunications companies turning off 3G. Hopefully this clarifies things for you. Hi @Bigwave2003, vehicles with full synthetic oil only require an oil change every 10,000 miles. The Owner's Manual states that the vehicle should be serviced every 5,000 miles or six months, which ever comes first, for tire rotations, fluid top offs, filter checks, etc. Vehicles used to require much more frequent maintenance, so guess I'm confused by your questions. Most people are happy to have these longer intervals between maintenance. If you have a question about your Lexus, I'm happy to try to help.
