@cmsmith19615 жыл бұрын
I’m no expert, but powder coating is just what it sounds like. It’s a powder coating that hardens when baked. It’s much more durable than painting, but it’s also much more expensive to do, which is why painting is more common. Not everyone has access to the powder coating tools, but anyone can grab some paint and get to work.

Google "Cooking oil coating prevents bacteria from growing on food processing equipment".
@jenslundy5 жыл бұрын
@@clray123 Cooking oil is a horrible lubricant for mechanical lubrication. It gums up, especially on rotating parts. Once the solvents evaporate it becomes a sticky mess. It may prevent bacterial growth, but I'm not sure there are too many problems with bacteria issues in bulk M&Ms. Having worked on industrial food processing equipment for years has taught me that cooking spray as a machine lube causes way more problems than it solves. There are far better food safe options to keep this machine in top shape.

Outstanding work - not only the restoration but the vid as well. And you've got some really cool equipment too. I'm looking forward to much more.

I watch a lot of restoration videos on KZbin and yours are easily my favorites. Your techniques and methods are simply masterful and it really reflects that in your finished product. Well done.

I wish my friend would see this. Because this is his favorite m&m’s. I sure miss him since he passed away three years ago. I enjoy this video. I am so amazed on your work. Great job on restoring things you do.

I wonder this about most of his restorations. They look like he sources them from Pripyat 😳 We have several tin toys from the 60s or older, and usually only rubber tires have degraded and some plastics have discolored.

Dannon after all that work restoring it, I seriously doubt he would leave the machine outside to rot and bake in the sun. He'll probably keep it in his house just as a conversation piece to show to friends.

When my brother and I was 4 and 6 we were at the corner store. You have to understand how it was set up. My uncle and grandma lived right next door to the corner store and we was visiting. My brother and me each on one side of the gum ball machine start rocking it back and forth till finally it fell and the glass broke and gum balls went everywhere. Naturally they knew us and our parents had to pay for it. Nice restoration 👍

It was sad to see the condition when i first saw it and when finished i was Happy. I would dare to say there's been many many Happy faces looking through that glass over the years. Then i Laughed @ what looks to be a bag size handful of candy for a Nickle. Thanks for sharing the work you do. ::SUBBED::
