Sequel On December 18, 2013, Stephen Baldwin appeared on Mancow Muller's radio/TV show, confirming that he is in talks with Pauly Shore about making a sequel to the film revolving around the children of their characters Bud and Doyle. Baldwin had also stated that he gets recognized more for his role in Bio-Dome than any other film he has done thus far.

I don't know that that's true. I know that they originally wanted to film the movie in the real BioSphere but were turned down because the owners thought that would happen though. Speaking of which, I took issue with you calling the experiment stupid Critic. This experiment happened in real life, and they failed, proving that we weren't yet ready to actually build something like this on another planet. I don't even want to know what would have happened if the first time they tried this was in a hostile environment...

This movie could have worked if: The scientists acted like real scientists. The annoying "protagonists" mature and develop after their time within the dome. Say they start off ungodly annoying, but they turn into normal people by the end. The movie focused on other things instead of the two morons all the time. Make funnier jokes, add character, add development, show that the leads learned from their irritating ways, etc.

You know this movie's bad when Johnny Bravo- an 11 minute long cartoon network show made for kids- took this scenario and made it a billion times funnier. Not to say Johnny Bravo's not funny, in fact that was one of my favorite episodes, but this is just garbage

+MikePlaysIt This was based on an actual experiment called Biosphere 2. It was to examine conditions in a completely sealed environment and see if they can apply it to an outer space environment. There were two missions: the first was in 1991 and lasted for two years, and failed due to flaws in several of the fabricated environments. The second mission was in 1994 and lasted only 6 months due to management issues and factions among the scientists. It is now owned by the University of Arizona.

I remember that in Futurama, there was one episode where Fry became a member of the cryogenics lab, and he freed Paulie Shore from being cyrogenically frozen. Fry: "Ah, I remember you. Kyle Shea "On December 18, 2013, Stephen Baldwin appeared on Mancow Muller's radio/TV show, confirming that he is in talks with Pauly Shore about making a sequel to the film revolving around the children of their characters Bud and Doyle. Baldwin had also stated that he gets recognized more for his role in Bio-Dome than any other film he has done thus far." *still faceplanting desk* I...I don't know whats more depressing, the fact they want ot make a sequel, or the fact Baldwin gets recognized more from this movie.

Watching Biodome is like being stuck in a traffic jam cause by a gruesome crash blocking the entire road in the middle of nowhere causing a tail to tail traffic jam on a hot day while the AC is broken, your least favorite song is playing on all the radio stations and someone stole all your CDs the previous night, and you really have to poop because you ate Taco Bell and you can't just get out of the car because you are trapped in the middle lane and now your out of gas and when you get out of the car to ask for help the traffic starts moving and you are hit by an 18 wheeler. When the ambulance comes they save your life but all the hospital TVs are playing Biodome.

You know what I recently discovered when I read up about the possible sequel to this trash? This was suppose to be Bill&Ted 3 but Keanu Reeves at the time turned down the possibility and Alex Winter was busy with other projects so they couldn't get a hold of him. Sssoooooooo they change the characters name, the plot and did some recasting and rewriting. Thus... BioDome was made. Hoo-fucking-Ray.

I also heard at one point that it was supposed to be a more serious film at first, about two slackers who accidentally get trapped in a bio dome and have to learn to cope and help the scientists but then it was changed into a 90's comedy, which is what we get here.

If you think about it, Bio-Dome would actually make a good tragedy. The actual hero has to watch two sociopaths who are able to make everyone like them ruin his entire life's work. If they made the movie like that, it could almost be confused for Machiavellian writing.
